  1. But Nooo Heat Pump in the UK versions tut tut We are waiting for the Radar RD6 Pickup from Geeley a mere snip at $25,000 if we can get it in the UK for about £30k we are getting one.

  2. So the boot hasnt got got a electric tail gate and theres no gas struts on the bonnet, has the human race completely lost the ability to do anything these days, may so with things like adaptive cruise control and lane assist. It makes me wonder why folks bother to actually drive these days, they might as well just get an uber, as they clearly cant do anything themselves 🤣

  3. With 2x adults, 2x teens and a large dog, we are getting pretty cramped in a Zoe. The one thing which would have tempted us into a new Renault EV is more boot space. We've looked at the Kia eniro, which is almost perfect but isn't quite enough of a step up in terms of boot space.

The Megane E Tech has 10L less volume than the eniro. Renault really dropped the ball on this one.

  4. What do you think Vs a Kona?
Interesting to see your efficiency video next week, the bigger boot will be an improvement. Not sure I'll make the switch though. Might save money for solar and heat pumps etc.

  5. Ok wow. What a USP / party piece. That’s a strong and savy move Renault have made keeping the 22kW AC charging. It will really influence folks decisions when buying this. I can imagine it being very interesting to fleets who may want to use these, quick turn around times back at base without the expense and maintenance of a dedicated rapid charger. Or having to dip into expensive public chargers throughout the day.

For folks with range anxiety, added benefit of getting to a charge point and adding 60miles per hour or 20miles in 20mins if a rapid charger is out of action, this could be appealing.

  6. Problem is, it's too expensive. I've had two Zoes over the last 4 years, and have a bit less than 2 years left on my PCP. The Zoe I have now is right at the top end of what I can afford, and they no longer offer it as an option, only this Megane, which is significantly more expensive. So once my PCP ends, Renault will lose me as a customer.

  7. Very interesting Nicolas, thank you but, while I'm listening to your comments, let me first say that I think the industry is going in the wrong direction by constantly reducing visual estate by adopting smaller and smaller glass area. This is meant to be a safety feature which seems to be forgotten in favour of trendy appearance.
