  1. Can say this got me thinking the zonai originally tried to deal with Ganon and after a couple thousand years the shekiah tried to replicate their techniques. Heck even using the malice from Ganon as fuel for their skeiah resources which is how Ganon was able to corrupt them.

Though. I very very very kuch wanna see a guardian infused with green energy instead of yellow/blue and malice.

  2. 13:39 if you look closely you can see all the points at which parts are welded together, seemingly with some substance made from the same "Green Energy" seen everywhere else. The lights, wheels, "engine"(?), and driving pedestal are all attached this way.

    There's no way it's NOT player-made

  3. with all the different travel contraptions, it totally made me think, "wow the devs really saw everyone making minecart floating devices and wind-bombing and said let's give the people what they want"

  4. you are probably my new favorite zelda youtuber. Your videos are entertaining yet interesting and thought provoking. Also, i think we could end up actually traveling through different dimensions being the allies Ganon speaks of. That would explain that mushroom place for example.

  5. Ok, references to past Zelda titles having an impact on Tears of the Kingdomā€™s plot is not out of the realm of possibility, but waiting ALL THIS TIME just to do that especially when said past plot points havenā€™t been touched since doesnā€™t make it feel original. The Twilight, Demise, Lorule, the Minish, etc. Where am I going with this? Letā€™s go back in time. A Link To The Pastā€™s Light/Dark world, hasnā€™t been touched by plot until A Link Between Worlds. Iā€™m aware this is supposed to be a sequel to ALTTP, but Linkā€™s Awakening and the Oracle titles were those before ALBW. The fact that ALBW uses the same world of Hyrule and Lorule from ALTTPā€™s Light and Dark worlds albeit some changes to advance the plot, it felt like ALBW was originally intended to be an ALTTP remake, but Nintendo jumped the conclusion, ā€œif it ainā€™t broke, donā€™t fix it,ā€ so they decided to make it a sequel out of it. ALBW isnā€™t the only one to do this. Four Swords Adventures was meant to be a ā€œdirect sequelā€ to Four Swords, but instead of making the world fresh and original, it reuses assets from ALTTP long before ALBW did. Furthermore, when the Timeline was established in Hyrule Historia, it somehow finds itself after Twilight Princess with both games having little to no connection with each other. Of all the Zelda games, Minish Cap is the least referenced, and no plot points from THAT game was ever mentioned in any Zelda game since. Twilight Princess may have had some assets reused into Skyward Sword and was one of the key inspirations for Breath of the Wild, but none of the events of the Twilight Invasion were referenced besides Zeldaā€™s mentioning of the ā€œglowing embers of twilight.ā€ Not to mention the lack of comeback characters (NOT counting Wolf Link). Some support characters have come back in some shape or form, but most were very minor to the plot. We never saw Midna again, we never saw Ezlo or the Minish again, we never saw Vaati since Minish Cap, we never saw Twinrova since the Oracle titles, we never saw the Oracles again since Minish Cap (as much as I wanted them back as well), we never saw the Dekus again. My point is Nintendo put these plot points far behind them. So far behind that most fans are better off leaving them as they were even if we wanted more. But Breath of the Wild never brought up the majority of that, why wait until itā€™s sequel just to make these plot points relevant again? The Twili wasnā€™t brought back up since 2006 (2016 with TP HD). Itā€™d nice to make the plots of past titles relevant again, but BOTW didnā€™t have a plot structure to correlate most of them. And just when I thought itā€™s unlikely with TOTK, why the longer wait until now?

  6. This is certainly an interesting analysis video! Honestly, seeing that Nintendo direct really got me back to speculating, it made me excited to see this trailer, as well as the Game Boy games that have been added. I donā€™t know if Iā€™ll ever get around to making my video, but Iā€™d love to float the ideas Iā€™ve had, particularly my most speculative ones if youā€™re interested.

  7. I like the idea that TotK will expand in 'all directions' in terms of the map. BotW's map is hard to beat, and so naturally me and many people thought they'd expand up (sky islands) and down (adding expansive cave systems and ruins), but it would be really awesome if TotK added, in some degree, a bit of every realm from past games.

Adding other political entities like Termina or Holodrum might be unrealistic and unnecessary, but adding the Dark World and perhaps the remnants of the island chains from Skyward Sword would be really cool and creative. Maybe adding the Twilight Realm and Spirit Realm would be a bit much and make the game bloated, but I think something in line with Hyrule Warrior's theme of breaking time and space would be kinda neat.
