YouTuber’s Question Helps Elon Musk Improve Starship

Source video: https://youtu.be/t705r8ICkRw

We kept seeing a handful of videos with tens of millions of views like this that stole our content without asking and without any form of credit or source at all. We decided that we should just post it ourselves in an attempt to help reach a new audience. Sorry if the third person title is cringey, but we’re assuming a video like this could reach beyond our current audience.

  1. Why the heck is this stuff Elon would have to explain to his Rocket Scientists? He is a genius but he isn’t a rocket scientist although he probably knows just as much now but still, shouldn’t they have known something like that.

  3. Sometimes it's that relatively simple stuff that gets overlooked.

Now the next question… Why not use the engine test cells to batch test different heat shielding systems and/or materials? You're going to test engines at various times anyways, that exhaust plume could be useful for stress testing. If things stand up to that, then it should also hold up for re-entry.
