I had a moose walking through my yard with a baby moose many years ago and I went outside and it let me walk right up to it. I've had a lot of crazy things in my yard . I'm out in the middle of nowhere on a dead-end dirt road in Vermont on the Canadian border.
Rene, hello from Texas! I'm originally from Michigan, around the Detroit area. As a kid my mom would frequently take us to Michigan's upper peninsula to camp. There is a very small town there called Curtis. Its claim to fame is being "The Moose Capital" of Michigan. I remember getting up early for morning moose sighting hunts. They are beautiful, huge and majestic! Anyways it's beautiful country up there, well worth the trip. You could combine moose hunting with a trip to Whitefish Point where the Shipwreck Museum is.
Rene I love your channel it well be getting colder and you well be wearing your army jackets I miss your ๐๐๐๐๐ green nails I'll be watching keep it up girl fine some more drawers to go through
Your channel is the best on YouTube. It's my most favorite of all of the channels I watch. You're so down to earth. I feel like you're a kindred spirit when it comes to collecting. I used to have pen pals as a kid. It was a fun hobby. I got letters from all over the world. Wish I could still have some. Have to look into that.
If your local moose is like its close relative over here, you'll have to get up inhumanly early. At dawn. It does not thrive in open ground during the day. A moose lying still in the forest is almost impossible to see until you step on it. Most often observed on the road when I'm on my way to work, driving too fast, and I have to be damn quick with a few ave marias (for safety) and trust that the brakes work properly. Sometimes it likes to stand on the side of the road and pretend it's going to cross the road, so I have to stop (a moose does a lot of damage to a car if you drive into it), looks at me mockingly, and goes off into the woods where it came from. Not unlike typical pedestrians, in other words. I'd love to wrap one up and send it over, but I'm afraid the postage would be astronomical, and I'm also not sure the local postal service carries that kind of thing. Even if they don't use bicycles anymore. But at dawn, preferably in a car (it has a good sense of smell and the car camouflages your smell) or with the wind against you. I'm happy every day I don't see one.
Darling you send me is a fabulous song which I'm sure inspired that Valentine card . I watched 30 videos this weekend . Which got me done with all the ones from 3 years ago . Trying to catch up and watch every video . I now know I've got to try harder as you even post on Sunday . I'll try harder .

Well, yet another item I have…one of those neat old post box doors with combo lock and beveled glass window, with a gold box number painted on it. Being it was just a door only, I made an oak box for it, and have two cute brass fr-gs peering out at me, loving the postal home! Man, if I had a channel which depended on thrifting tours…I'd be fired…as the stores are declining out here…lot's of bare shelving and dull modern decor. items! Nice to see that those vintage cards are saved and treasured. In the early 50's I had three toy space ship banks, later a couple of tin plate robots…i was crazy about things space. The first space-themed movie I saw was Destination Moon, when it was released in 1950. I also have the Capitol 78 Record based on the movie.

You mentioned pen pals… at one time in my late teens I decided that I wanted to get a pen pal from each state, I ended up with about 20 pen pals that I corresponded with regularly for a couple of years. Now 40 years later, I'm still in contact with 1, first with postal mail, then email and now via Facebook. We have come close to meeting several times but have not as of yet. PS slow and steady wins the race, you will be YouTube famous, don't give up.
Everything you received was so wonderful!!! And then to finish with a MOOSE IN THE HOUSE is pure gold! Thank you to you and these wonderful gifters, what a treat for the rest of us. โฎ
