  1. Just had a nightmare the other day, I was holed up in some prep school, shapeless beings hovered at sprinting speeds, I was obsessed with bungee cords to keep the gates closed, apparently neon colors also drove them away, but not if they were light sources. According to markings on the wall, I was there alone for about 5 years. The dream ended with a scream for help.

  2. The strongest vibe of northern Siberia. I grew up in the southern part (Kuzbass), and our winters are very similar. The difference is that I lived in an area with private houses. In my school days, I had to get up at 6 a.m. and walk a kilometer in the freezing cold to the bus stop to get to school. It was still dark at this time in winter, and there you were, walking down a completely empty street, the wind howling and wobbling the wires, the snow interrupting the yellow light of the sparse lampposts. I didn't appreciate it at the time, and I didn't think it was any different in any other part of the world. Now I find it very poetic.

  3. Ah Norilsk… A place where I was born, graduted from school, made lots of good friends, made mistakes. It is kinda funny that it is used for something like nuclear winter xd
In reality it's not that bad, it appears that all of these photos were taken during the "black blizzard" which is quite a rare thing(We've had it, like, 5 or 6 times for 18 years of my presence there)
It does have that vibe that no other Russian city can give, no city in general can give that vibe. Truly a special place. Not gonna recommend anyone to live there though. If you stay there for long once, you might never leave it. In many ways it just grabs and consumes you whole.

  4. Cormac McCarthy's novel "The Road" and the film of the same title recount a post-apocalyptic world with father and son. Or, if you prefer nonfiction, Putin just gave Edward Snowden Russian citizenship.

  5. putting this on at night before bed has given me some of the strangest dreams of my life. a while back I had one where I met a woman with dark black skin and hair like fire, wearing goggles and a gas mask as she saved me from a blizzard. last night I dreamt about the game store my step-dad and I used to go to – he died when I was 13, but last night I was there again, and he was, too. Thanks for the dreams.

  6. These calm, droning tones.. they speak to me of inevitability.
Theres infinite ways to interpret that, in a nuclear winter death is all but a question of time- for you, and most other things. In our time, much terrible is happening and none of us have much power to stop or change it. And inbetween these two there are endless scenarios, all bleak, all speaking of the inevitable.
But- I don’t see this playlist as something sad. Inevitablity can be crushing, but it doesn’t need to be. There is a certain calm, a certain comfort in it. You do not need to fret anymore, there is no worry about the future, just certainty. Even if what you are certain about is something terrible, you know what will happen. No complex thoughts are necessary, there are no grey areas, arguments or questions. There is only you, and fate.
All you need to do, is get up. Stand unbowed. And face what may come. If that means enjoying the last days of humanity, or helping who you can simply for the sake of being the goodness you wish to see in the world- it doesn’t matter. It is the calm and the serenity that may fuel you if you accept them which matter.

  7. I just had a flashback of a wintry night some 40 years ago… I was walking 2 blocks on a deserted street in Springfield, Vermont at 2am and the temperature was minus 20 degrees. The snow was waist deep.

  8. What about stuff in life that people can relate to? Nobody can relate to this because the world was never empty! I try my best to create videos that other people can relate to! Maybe things that I been through that other people have also been through!
