Aeyou I just found a video that noted that small bleed dogs for example can hit you multiple times in a single attack
not sure if it applies to poison dogs and other subtypes too, but if so it explains why they hit so hard

I reckon Stan is right, one shot means you did it on your first shot at it, where as 1 hit means you did it in single hit.

Bruh just because its not called a summon doesnt mean its not a summon lol.
in pretty much every souls game i summon on multi bosses or when its thematically appropriate. in the spirits case its the same rules but i also use them out in the field whenever im able because i like seeing the wolves maul dudes and grandpa hammer mage throw magic cannon balls at people
