YOUR FOOTPRINT CAN LEAVE AN IMPRINT ON THIS WORLD

“When the student is ready, the teacher will appear. When the student is truly ready, the teacher will disappear.”

(This topic is a continuation of last video. So for context, refer to that video although this video is to some extent, independent)

Would you rather live your life as a Teacher or would you rather live your life as a Tyrant? According to all universal spiritual teachings, the difference between a person who would rather live their life as a Teacher and a person who would rather live their life as a Tyrant is that the former is more concerned about becoming a spiritual master (Teacher) whereas the latter is more concerned about remaining a spiritual mastermind (Tyrant).

As previously mentioned, the entire chaos of the Ramayana began because of a spiritual mastermind, namely Manthara, the mischievous mentor.

First of all, we may claim, “I’m not a spiritual master, teacher, leader or mentor. I’m not pure enough, knowledgeable enough or eloquent enough.” However, it should be pointed out that when someone makes us angry, we’re pure enough, knowledgeable enough and eloquent enough to expose all of their faults. In this regard, sometimes devotees refuse to give a class on the ancient Sanskrit book of wisdom known as the Srimad-Bhagavatam because they claim “I’m not pure enough, knowledgeable enough or eloquent enough.” However, the meaning of Srimad-Bhagavatam is “To glorify the devotees of God.” The logical fallacy is that some devotees claim, “I’m not qualified to glorify devotees but I am qualified to vilify devotees.” Does this make any sense?

Therefore, it is said:
“We all know that light travels faster than sound. That’s why certain people appear bright until you hear them speak.”
Albert Einstein

Similarly, it is also said:
“Brisk talkers are usually slow thinkers. There is, indeed, no wild beast more to be dreaded than a communicative man having nothing to communicate.”
Jonathan Swift

By speaking on the Srimad-Bhagavatam, we become happy; by speaking on the Srimad-Bashing-vatam, we remain unhappy. Indeed, have you ever seen anyone look happy bashing others? Not only that, but we certainly don’t become purified by bashing others. Of course, depending on the circumstances, some faults, nay, criminal activities, should be exposed, but more often than not, whatever beef we have with others is usually our ego speaking through us.

The conclusion is this:
Everyone is, to a greater or lesser degree, a spiritual master, teacher, leader or mentor, whether we like it or not.

Therefore, it is said:
“Every man is a priest, even involuntarily; his conduct is an unspoken sermon, which is forever preaching to others.”
Henri Amiel

Similarly, it is also said:
“If I am walking with two other men, each of them will serve as my teacher. I will pick out the good points of the one and imitate them, and the bad points of the other and correct them in myself. When we see persons of worth, we should think of equaling them; when we see persons of a contrary character, we should turn inwards and examine ourselves.”
Confucius

“Words are singularly the most powerful force available to humanity. We can choose to use this force constructively with words of encouragement, or destructively using words of despair. Words have energy and power with the ability to help, to heal, to hinder, to hurt, to harm, to humiliate and to humble.”
Yehuda Berg

“Everyone is a leader because everyone influences someone.”
John C. Maxwell

“Leadership is a choice, not a position.”
Stephen Covey

“Leadership is not a rank or a position, it is a choice – a choice to look after the person to the left of us & the person to the right of us.”
Simon Sinek

“Leadership is not about titles, positions or flowcharts. It is about one life influencing another.”
John C. Maxwell
