Pffff so you just finihsed You Season 4 part 2 and man do we have a lot to talk about. Throughout this video we’re gonna be recapping the new netflix show and also talking about the ending and where it could be going.

Full spoilers ahead so if you haven’t checked it out then check out now. With that out the way, huge thank you for clicking this, now let’s get into You Season 4.

Ok so after all the breadcrumbs were laid in part 1, part 2 has us finally meeting Kate’s father Tom Lockwood. Played by Greg Kinnear he’s a a devious, evil man who’s as obsessed with Kate is Joe is. It’s a fatherly obsession but we learn that he’s secretly controlled every aspect of her life. Every job she got, every charitable event that went through, it was all him controlling things from the shadows.

We discover that he’s learned who Joe is early on and that he wants to use him and his certain set of skills to take out Rhys Montrose. Joe ends up doing this which is when we get our first major twist. Turns out that Joe actually imagined the killer version of Rhys who represents his darker and more evil side. Even though he’s doing horrendous things, audiences have still always grown to like Joe because we see things from his point of view. He has very much presented this killer with a heart of gold to us whereas Rhys represents what he’s really like. This plays into the ending with him very much embracing this side after Kate enables him to do what he wants.

Now a big question that you might have in this reveal is why did Tom actually want Rhys dead if he wasn’t the eat the rich killer. Well it just boils down to him going after rich people. He already used the press to ruin his reputation and sending Joe after him was very much the literal nail in the coffin.

  4. I am to lazy to go back and find when Kate admits she gave kids cancer. Can someone explain how that came to be? I know it tied in to her father and a pipeline that was being built.

  5. Marianne is coming for him. When she was reading the book to her daughter and saying goodbye to her we thought it was from the past but it was actually the future! Because in the end scene when she was reading the article about Joe she’s wearing the same clothes (jean overalls). She might be the one to finally stop him!

  6. Oh boy, here goes a long comment because I really hated this season. Firstly, I really disliked everyone in that rich group, starting with Kate. I live in London and those characters seemed so fake and ridiculous. I was dying for Joe to kill her once and for all. The only character I liked from the beginning was Edward, Joe's student who was hardly in it, and I grew to like Nadia too.

    When they were recapping what became of the rest of the rich group, I just couldn't care less. It looks like I won't enjoy Season 5 if Kate is the main female lead.
    I believe in Season 5 is when Joe will finally get his comeuppance, and that's how it'll end, with him in jail or in a mental asylum. All the victims that survived will gang up and destroy him, including Marienne and Nadia.

    When Joe was imagining his dead exes, it was a reminder of how much better those seasons were. I

    'm glad Season 5 will move back to the US. The London location scenes really took me out of the story because it was so fake, starting with the huge flat he lives in in a mews that I'm very familiar with because it's just around the corner from where I live. From that mews, he seems to walk a bit and end up in a totally different part of London! The same to get to the University he works in. He walks a bit and there he is, when in reality that University is Royal Holloway University which is in Surrey, ie, outside London, like 40 minutes by train. Yes, I know they made up the name Darcy College, but that really took me out of the story.

    Also, that empty train station/tunnel, or whatever it was, where Joe kept Marienne in a glass box. The main entrance door wasn't even locked, so in reality that would have been full of homeless people and/ or junkies.

    Also, why didn't Nadia take photos of Marienne in the glass box? She could sent copies to Edward and threatened Joe that if anything were to happen to her, 'someone' would send the photos to the police, or put them up in social media.

    Also in one scene we saw there was a camera in Joes flat, and him looked back at the video to see if Rhys had really been to his flat or not. So couldn't he have seen the video of Marienne going inside his flat?

    Also, police have nothing better to do than to stand in a London Underground entrance, so that they can stop people from entering without paying. You hardly ever a policeman anywhere in London, least of all inside a tube entrance. BTW, coldn't Nadia just top up her Oyster card to get the tube? It's not like she wouldn't be caught later when she had to exit because she would have had to tap her card too then. It just seemed so fake and stupid. So many little silly things that really made me roll my eyes.

    And don't get me started on Marienne. So she sees Joe in Paris and she runs into an abandoned building? Why not stay in the street where it's full of people, ie, safety in numbers? Why not yell and make a big scandal, so the police can come. Then when she's in London, in the glass cage, WHERE DID SHE POOP? So you saw empty take away trays and plastic bottles, but if she was eating and drinking for several days while Joe had forgotten about her, where did she poop? You would think the whole cage would be full of pee and poop, her teeth and breath would be foul and it would smell like hell and she would look a total mess. Also, when Nadia walks in there and she says she's going to call the police, why did Marienne stop her? How stupid can you be?

    Okay, I'll stop now. At least I got it out of my system, although I could go on and on. 😂Sorry for SUCH long comment!😇

  7. I love the show. Simple as that. Not my favorite season but enjoyed it. Looking forward to season 5. Penn said he only wants to do 5 so hopefully they tie it up with 5.

  9. I made the mistake of watching the video on Rhys being a figment of Joe's mind and it took away the element of surprise that would have made me enjoy the reveal more. Marienne's fake death and cage reveal got me though. Joe has too many human loose ends for him to even think he can have a happily ever after.

  10. I was a bit pissed that rhys was not real because he could have become a great villain or partner to joe. Idk why they made this nonsense twist😅

    But this season was my fav and the best so far. And i hope rhys will be back for season 5

  15. Joe killed the side of him that had a conscience I feel. Also the Eat The Rich killer crimes were pinned on Phoebe’s stalker. The Rhys murder is separate and pinned on Eddie, and Eddie’s death was pinned on Nadia, that’s how I took it at least

  19. Anyone remember when Kate says to Tom that she already gets enough counseling from her mom, what if her mom was Dr Nikki? I could be totally wrong its been a while since I've watched the 1st two seasons.

  21. I think there's foreshadowing for the next season. Joe says the hero is going to die; he's no hero, but Nadia was referred to as a superhero. Hope I'm wrong, but we'll see.

  23. Do we ever find out what Joe told phoebe the night they met?? Side note: I hope Joe gets exactly what he deserves, someone put him in the box lol

Was the audience really rooting for Joe, because the only time I was rooting for him was when he was protecting kids or killing other psychos otherwise he was horrible all along 😕 I didn't realise we were suppose to see him as an anti hero, at least not after season 1 got going properly. I do like the main character being the bad guy although it's infuriating still.
