I don't blame you for not reporting everything at once since there's so much to talk about for this year and the next on both the indie and aaa side.
i do love yokai watch! the games and anime and manga are great! it was really surprising when i'd hear kids gush about it. I think this was during pokemon gen 6 or 7 which perhaps isn't very surprising to hear. i really hope level 5 doesn't give up on the west again!

Really hoping this turns out to be true!! I also missed the Yokai watch train and I’m not willing to pay ridiculous amounts to buy the 3DS games
the mainline yokai watch games were fine, but the yokaiwatch blaster spinloffs were amazing. Essentially a monster catching rpg that plays like gauntlet. Its an absolute shame those titles are stranded on the 3ds.
Am the type of gamer that plays till end credits roll so I have not played my copy of yokai watch 2 for years now. First 2 are fun the 3rd one change the battle field so you have 3 yokai out moving them on a back roll and front roll.
I thought it's gonna be called "To the World's Children"? Honestly that would be a better title
I am so hoping to the heavens that this is indeed a yokai watch game!!! I went absolutely crazy for them when they all came out and I was constantly sadden to hear how much stuff stayed in Japan undubed since I didn't study Japanese. Getting them from Japan would also be a bit expensive so I couldn't even try learning to get the Japanese versions so it was a mute point in the end. I love the franchise anf when they where releasing in the US I got as many of the different games as i could! Now i can pray for a new one to add to my collection!

I hope so. I really liked the first game. It wasn't the best Monster Tamer. But it was charming. & it was really cool seeing the concept of Yokai being introduced to so many people.

Can't wait for some new yokai watch related games. I'm even excited for Decapolice from level 5 that clearly has yokai elements in it.
They're reviving Layton, they make a proper sequel to Fantasy Life, this?

At the rate that Level 5 does to self publish and translate their own games, I honestly wont expect it these games to come out in 2030

I love the yokai watch aesthetic, but the new aesthetic looks, even though it's only one creature.
Can't wait to see more about it.
If it is a new Yokai watch game or a spiritual successor I do hope they go back to what made the original games work. Having the group of monsters kind of auto battling while still having an impact on what happens in the battle was what made me originally like the series. Without that there's like nothing that makes it different from other monster collectors past the IP. We also need more monster collectors that arent just trying to shamelessly rip off pokemon with a "quality" to match like Palworld or Temtem.
I don’t think Level 5 would change the name since quite a few of the games have already been to the West as Yokai Watch, so I think Ghost Craft might be a subtitle of a new Yokai Watch game.
I only play physical and it’s impossible to find yokai3 that isnt double priced but 1 and 2 are nice!
