Hey Khaios! i know nothing about teleporters but could it be that bc they are connected you arrive on the other one while its still powered and thats why it tp's you back and forth?
There is a way to retain lava inside grate after reload, and have it actuate without closing. I do it all the time. Maybe it doesn't work in Calamity

what if you offset the pressure plate by one block so they are closest to the slope. this would teleport you to an area where the pressure plate isn't present on the other teleporter since you retain position relative to the teleportation three block sprite? so on the left side on top of the teleporter it would be [blank][blank][Pressure plate]/slope and on the right it would be slope[pressure plate][blank][blank]
