Alvarez called out at first. This doesn't smell right. What's the ruling on a throwing error to first? I thought the batter would get an automatic chance to take his base, based on that throwing error, without having to worry about being subsequently tagged out. Wasn't play in a "frozen" situation situation at that point? Truly, I've been watching baseball for many years — never saw an out like that.
Sure did turn around late for the Yankees ..These Hou announcers are something else..they were down by a run.
