This episode was so messed up on so many levels, I just feel SO bad for Xie Lian. I see what Hua Cheng was trying to do but oH THE PAIN! Also LQQ… YIKES.

  3. There is something really weird about the way the season 2 episodes of TGCF are being released where you can sit through 23 minutes of an episode and have nothing really happen. I mean how is there 10 episodes out and so little story covered? Will it end at 13 episodes and we'll have to wait for black water ark as season 3? How many seasons will this end up needing?

Episodes are still rlly pretty and I do enjoy them its just that non of them are memorable just feels like a lot of them could have been fit into one episode.

  4. We know that Xie Lian needs to reckon with his tragic past so he can fully embrace this beautiful future.

But no one said it wasn’t gonna hurt, and that's why he's been avoiding it like, well, the plague

  5. Books adaptations are usually not upto the mark, but this one is an exception.. This Donghua team is doing a crazy amazing job 👏🏻 I think we tgcf fans really lucked out.. when we book lovers say we want to see it as a show, THIS is what we mean! 👌🏻 so beautifully done…

  6. The novel and the donghua are so well-paced in this arc in terms of what they reveal and how that happens in combination with Xie Lian having questions (or doubts) about Hua Cheng's involvement in his life and possible motivation for putting Qianqiu and Qi Rong together. I liked that they added a little extra (crazy) dimension to An Le here too, even if it was all so upsetting!

  7. Baby Qi Rong saw Danxias mother and father like that. And to him those were his father and mother who saved him from abuse and showered him with love and kindness. He saw them there in that golden palace celebrating with stolen wealth. I can see why his coudin cant find it in his heart to kill him despite all hes done.

  8. Why does Xie Lian look so much taller as FangXin Goushi than he does as himself? He just seems to stand straighter and taller as Goushi. Perhaps he had more confidence back then? Maybe because Xie Lian has less confidence in himself now, he shrinks himself to not gather attention from others?

  9. I love how they just sit there together, telling stories and NO ONE tries do do anything. Qi rong just chilling and tell everything and everyone is like "Oh yeah.. that what happend, tha ks bro for sharing" 😂😂😂😂😂

  10. I hate this. It's just XL trying to make the best decision and getting punished for it. And I hate even more that it reminds of the one scene from Game of Thrones that was good. To paraphrase: "The common people do not pray for the return of (the old king). They pray for long summers and rich harvests. For the nobility to leave them out of their squabbles." AnLe was willing to kill every civilian he was supposed to be responsible for, for a moment of personal power. Disgusting.
