Xi'an and the Terracotta Army – featuring the Oberheim OB-X8, Sequential P10, and the Udo Super 6

I originally wrote this piece back in 1998 using my Kurweil K2500XS and using Asian ethnic sample libraries. I’ve always loved the piece and wanted to recreate it with a more “synthy” feel. Other than the percussion (still from my 1998 Kurzweil Asian library) and a low string from a Fairlight, the rest is from The Oberheim OB-X8, the sequential Prophet 10 rev4, and the Udo Audio Super 6. A “synth only” version starts at the end of the track.

As usual, a LIKE is always appreciated if you enjoyed my work. Thanks for viewing. 🙂

  1. I will when I get to my desk, have a critical listen, the fact you brought out the big guns does deserve a full attentive listen.
I did a video edit back in 87, I am about to re-do this edit in full blu ray as close as I can to the original, being as faithful as possible just so I can preserve my original intent.
I get why you have done what you have.

    😀
