  1. Am I the only ope who thinks Sophie Turner was the wrong person to play Jean Grey? For some reason she always seems like she's about to cry or something, giving quite the opposite vibes of what a Jean Grey / Phoenix should be, considering she's such a powerful mutant, I would expect a much stronger character. I understand she's supposed to be young here and finding her powers, but, personally, I think this is too much. Of course, I'm open to hear opinions on this.

  2. Scott (Cyclops) is a high school teenager here, but this movie takes place 20 years after First Class, so his brother Alex (Havoc) would now be old enough to be Scott's father. The two actors, however, are only six years apart in age.
They really gave no fucks about continuity with these prequels.

  3. Funny they always pronounce Eriks' name Lehnsher although it's Lehns – Herr which means liege lord. Which is an unfitting name btw. because he is a jew. He wouldn't have a name like this. They were not allowed to inherit those positions.

  4. Defo the Worst most confusing messy X Men movie! The only one I didn't really enjoy that much! Felt like a cobbled together Stargate meets the Mummy! Their must have been a writers strike on and through Studio just cobbled this one together! 😂

  5. I think having Weapon X/Stryker show up was probably the biggest mistake they made here, it happens right when the movie is kicking into high gear and slows it right down again, feels like a retread of something they've done a lot of already and it takes up a decent amount of the movie when Apocalypse the character kinda feels undercooked and like he isn't doing much in a movie with his name on it.

  6. As a film it’s ok . But only class it as a film loosely based on x men . So many dumb decisions. There apocalypse is an abomination. It’s more like ivan ooze from power rangers . Not scary , no presence . Should of been cgi like thanos , and needed the voice .

  7. First Class, DoFP and Apocalypse make such an amazing trilogy.
Logan then Deadpool 2 and then just stop hahaha don't even bother with Dark Phoenix. It's awful and has no redeeming qualities. That story line is cursed 😂.

  8. Love Apocalypse! Then again… any movie with Sophie Turner gets a thumbs up (insert Deadpool joke here)! X-Men of course started with comic books (which I never read). I was introduced to them when my 2 little rug-rats watched the cartoon version. Check the cartoons… uh excuse me… the "animated" versions – they were very well written with great story lines and introduce all characters in the X-Men universe. On Disney + I believe. Wifey likes Gambit. I like Rogue (cartoon version… watch and you'll know why… Deadpool would agree with me). Even shows the love between Professor X and Margaret McTaggert! Weapon X is DEADPOOL! LOL! Dark Phoniex was great too… as well as Days of Future Past. These were all covered in the cartoon, er excuse me, the "animated" series. The animated series included: Professor X, Cyclops, Jean Grey, Wolverine, Storm, Rogue, Gambit, Beast, and Jubilee (does a mall babe like chili fries?) The bad guys: Apocolypse, Mister Sinister, Magneto, Mystique (yes she was a bad guy unlike the movies), Juggernaut, Omega Red, Lady Deathstrike, etc.

  9. PS – show the money was cool. Ever think of watching some classic movies? Casablanca? Key Largo? The Hustler? To Kill a Mockingbird? A Streetcar Named Desire? On the Waterfront? I introduced my wife when we were newlyweds to 'streetcar named desire'… she cried… stormed out of the room… and said… "All men are pigs!" That was 30+ years ago… she's the best!

  10. Here are some good, great even, films that deserve a reaction:

    Frank (2014)
    Shame (2011)
    Hunger (2008)
    Persona (1966)
The Bitter Tears of Petra von Kant (1972)
The Assassination of Jesse James by the coward Robert Ford (2007)
    Enemy (2013)
    Macbeth (2015)

  11. Dark phoenix is an x-men if you wanted to do all of them then you should do that one as well and the new mutants is not x-men the characters in it are mutants except the nurse l think but if you want to do all of the X-Men films then you should watch dark phoenix as well cause that has the young X-Men in it why has your patrons not told you that is t cause they don't like it

  12. The problem with this movie is that Apocalypse was shown to have powers that could not be matched, yet he was matched. It made no sense, and that's a big reason why it didn't do as well as the other films. Yes, Jean "unleashed" at the climax, but Apocalypse should have simply turned all of the mutants to sand at the start of the battle. Done, and done.

  13. This is still my favorite X-Men movie I think. I just love the plot development, the one-liners and the larger-than-life villain. This is a page-turner. Every scene gets me involved and makes me anticipate what's coming next.
