i was there lmao. the singing was okay for the first few min but then even i got annoyed and i wanted to listen to the promo cuz i know it wouldāve been great

Go watch the promo again. Finn egged the crowd onā¦ thatās the reaction they were going forā¦ the first thing he said was āI donāt care if you singāā¦ then later he would say things like āhere they go with their songāā¦ he basically challenged them.. thatās why they did that. They didnāt just decide to do it on their own. Trust me watch it again.
As someone who was there at Against All Odds the crowd was definitely not dead. May have been a production issue as we were live all night.
It might have been a little excessive but if it was anyone else besides Finn Balor I literally don't think anyone would care
The crowd simply destroyed this promo. Although Finn didnāt help by egging them on initially with the āAre you done yetā comments which only encourages the chants. Seth didnāt help- as the conductor of the band he also has the power to STOP the band which he really didnāt try to. It felt like they wanted the reaction- but the crowd kept going after awhile and it was almost obnoxious to watch. You can even see audience members visibly irritated at the continued singing.
Also, Iāve been a Finn believer SINCE he lost the universal title. His story made me feel for him and I always wanted him to get back into the main event scene. The way WWE has been handling him is disheartening. No momentum, major L back-to-back, smh. Now heās gonna face another PPV loss right agter a WM lost smh.
Another couple fun things for me was that the Jinder Promo was almost drowned out by Ricochet's music. And also funny was you could see KO talking to Sami in the ring after the Promo by Seth "Why are we standing here.. What's going on? Why are we waiting?!" LOL
You dont think damian cashes in on finn? Maybe finn wins cleanly and cashes in afterwards or damian helps finn with but betrays him with an instant cash in
I find it funny here I hear that balor was rattled. I listen to another podcast that balor egged the crowed on.

May be an unpopular opinion but Kevin Owen's "Scrappy Doo" routine is the most annoying thing on the show. It makes me want to fast forward everytime he's on.
The crowd did not ruin the segment but didn't help. I blame the creative team (more repetitive team), we already saw Balor lost to Rollins. Balor don't deserve a shot at the title.
The Seth/Finn match will be good but Finn has a point. He was the first universal champion but now Seth is just gonna best him.

Well it's most American crowds. Every NXT person doesn't get any reaction. People who deserve to be cheered dont get cheered. Look at bianca and io at backlash. Perfect example of how a crowd should be.

What they did to rhea was disrespectful. Cody had no business being out there this was about her getting her new Championship belt. The way they present cody makes him look like an entitled ass And I can't stand him. Everyone in my house is waiting for his failure. His character is so funny me almost politician sure in real life. He's a great guy button wrestling I just don't buy it.

Did the singing undermine the crux of the promo? Yes. Did it hurt the segment? No. We need to look at this not from the eyes of a hard-core fan, but the eyes of a casual fan. No matter how good the promo or in ring wrestling is, the number of people watching wrestling is going to stay about the same. The crowd is the most important part in terms of brining in eyes to the product. If people see fans having a good time or if people in attention keep telling people how much fun they had, that's how you attract a wider audience. At the end of the day, they paid money to be there. People watching on TV, your experience doesn't matter as much as the people live in attendance, since they paid for it. Sometimes you have to deal with the singing, and that's ok. Plus, finn is the heel. They stopped singing when Seth spoke. I think it was similar to what they do to dominik. And finn was egging them on cuz that's his role. Personally, I think the singing made it more enjoyable, but I see why some people would be upset.
There's a time and place for the crowd to hijack a segment, this wasn't it. Finn had a story to tell
Singing Seth's song is ruining alot of the show. Him vs AJ took over 5 mins to start because they wouldn't shut up
Its on Seth, he could have quieted them down, but instead encouraged them to go harder
I wish Karrion Kross in Judgment Day. If they wanted to make Judgment Day a legitimate threat, add Kross and Scarlet.
I think the crowd did ruin the segment but I have no blame towards them for it. WWE has conditioned us to think Finn isn't a main event guy with his booking ever since he came back. I mean just look at the last title match he got, he was defeated by the top rope/god with nothing said about it. He was just some guy who lost to roman after the match.
I loved the song
If Finnās promo was the night before their match then Iād complain. But thereās a couple weeks before it and Iām sure the build will get better and Finn will get his moment. Whether he wins or loses
