  2. I imagine countries like Finland and Norway sit back and watch the rest of the world play out their drama like Switzerland did in WW2. Russia and USA are the narcissists who keep starting drama.

  3. Hitler did not invade because he needed a source of hard currency and a place to stash his looted treasure. The amoral Swiss still have some of it.

  4. Not everyone had the luxury of having a vast ocean between themselves and evil or a powerful navy to project their strength. The Swiss did what they had to. America could have been neutral too, but we had the means and the duty to intervene in the slaughter of millions by the Axis, Switzerland did not.

  5. Just saying, no one in Switzerland believes that the Bombings of Swiss Towns were accidents, it’s pretty much an open secret that that’s just the US being petty and bombing us for “cooperation and collaboration” with the Nazis…
So it’s not “misfortune” it’s just USA being USA that my hometown of Schaffhausen was bombed

  6. Really interesting video but I'm surprised that there wasn't anything about the Holocaust trains that went through Switzerland nor anything about the Swiss banks who exploited Jews since those actions are still very controversial today.
That said, as someone who's grandfather served in the Swiss Army, this was a really good vid and thanks Griffin for putting this all together!

  7. A rather simple, but effective strategy: Nobody attacks his exterritorial banker and treasurer.

The fortifications were and are mostly for show, like some kind of massive accountants' table – you could hide behind it in some cases, but the real security comes from the content of your vaults and from what you know about the owners of said content.
