It was, for many years, one of the best cities in the World.
Once the Left got control, they drove it into the ground ! The goal is to create a stable voting base that is poor, uneducated, hopeless and dependent on the government. It worked in Detroit. It worked in Jackson Mississippi. In late 2024, some of the poor are trying to break free from this planned Urban Plantation.
Some of these good people are trying to speak up, but are being silenced by City Hall. The blacks in Chicago came from the oppressive south. Their grandparents told them how bad it was. They are starting to realize the Left is driving them down. I pray for their success.

Worked at a couple manufacturing companies back in the 90’s, one in Cicero, another in Ford City. Both were massive facilities, both were part of this effort during WW2, many of the machines were still cranking out parts. Well, for a bit, they’re both gone now, all that work went to Mexico after NAFTA. Every once in a while maintenance work would turn up tooling, paperwork or even boxes from that period, was fascinating seeing a slice of life then.
Chicago was an industrial and manufacturing center back then, sad what’s happened.
We only treated the Japanese so harshly because they touched our boats.
