WOW! SBMM in Call of Duty Is WORSE Than We Thought… (THIS Is What Activision Was Hiding From Us)

Activision is *slowly* giving people their SBMM data, and while only a select few have access to it, it’s about to get CRAZY once we have data from a larger selection of the community

  1. HELLO NOTIFICATION SQUAD! Has Activision sent you you're skill data yet? Seems like they're finally starting to send stuff out, so we're going to be learning a lot over the coming days and weeks

  2. There's a reason 99.9% of my playtime on BO6 has been in zombies, because even though on a surface level the MP looks fun it simply isn't in practice due to these systems and the map design.

SBMM fundamentally goes against the rest of COD's game design, namely it's progression systems such as camo challenges. Even outside of how it directly affects the player experience match-to-match it also feels at odds with the entire content pool / sandbox of the game and is forcing COD to be something it isn't, when it's supposed to be a casual arcade shooter with playstyle variety.

When people say SBMM makes lobbies more fair they are missing the point. COD was never meant to be "fair", it was meant to be a sandbox with so much variety in loadouts, maps, etc. squished into a casual enough package that competitive fairness didn't really matter. Regardless of lobby skill levels you could always find a way to have fun or progress something. This is no longer true.

  3. After bo3 i dont take cod seriously anymore. I use to care about my kd but know i dont. When i get put against a full sweat team and im given anyone. Its honestly annoying and i gave up on cod. I only play zombies now.

  4. How can Activision not see that SBMM is the sole problem on the game. People won't need to go out and buy cheats if the game had 0 SBMM and games played like the OG games. Half the "problems go away if SBMM was removed. We see more cheaters the stronger SBMM tends to be.

  5. Hopefully it’s now obvious that it’s not real SBMM. It’s been known from the patent and just the way the game works. They kinda gotta make a statement now. “Yeah we let you win two games and then lose two and that’s how it works”

  6. I would be interested to think that anything negative has to do with purchased cosmetics. Or purchased content. We're basically a zero skill rating gets a very basic gameplay experience. Or as people who spend money will get negative points for that, and they will get better gameplay experiences.

And then the reason that search and destroy gives you less points is because due to the respawn delay / no respond. As well as the match cans. People are more likely to watch you using your super badass skin while you're getting kills. So it will delay your skill rating you continue to get into lobbies with bad people and you look really good

  7. I think Hardcore tracks skill rating differently or my sweaty lobbies are just me being bad? I have a 2.0 KD, recent matches 40+ kills, my skill rating doesn't go to 200 at all. Some early matches say -120 and some are 94. Like I'm sweating my ass off and my skill rating can barely peak 150 on average. I play HC only though. My friends don't want to join my lobbies because it's too sweaty, like I cannot tell what this rating means at all.

  8. They track all that and can’t even bother to fix their servers? They track all that but care more to push bundles? Seeing where their focus is…..definitely not in fixing their matchmaking 😑

  9. Youtubers like your old self killed casual gaming. Posting “top five best guns in the game” and having everybody use them, obviously didn’t have a good impact, except everybody just using them and trying their ass off. Posting tips and tricks to do the best in the game when everybody that plays call of duty is watching those videos too and sweating their balls.

I’ll die on this hill and blame youtubers and content creators for killing the game that we all once loved.

  10. 1.38 isnt all that good considering the elim/death ration factors in assists.

the stat is inflated to make us feel like we aren't bogged down by an oppressive skill based system.

  11. Yeap! Here in Brisbane, Australia where our only option is to connect to the Sydney servers. It's been a total shit show. Since, ermm, about as long as the game has been out, at least from when ranked was launched. On launch of BO6 though? It was a great experience. Sick to death of getting thrown into 200ms+ matches. There have been times where I just back out constantly, until I'm in a decent enough lobby to endure the BO6 pain, LOL. Some nights, I just gave up and went onto something else, or logged off. Never seen any outage reports on COD or Battle Net pages. Yet you could not land a decent ping, sometimes for days. Hence why I've given up and have gone back to MW3. But even MW3 hasn't been great lately. It was, until roughly about a week or so ago? You guys report that it's been a fantastic experience, but I'm noticing considerable latency at times. On a good day, I'm getting anything from 23 to 27ms. Lately however? Yeah, just does not happen regularly enough to bother. Think it's time I reclaim space on my NVMe drives, LOL. F**k this Hacktivision shite off once and for all.

  12. If I were to hazard a guess, a zero skill rating is likely the average, considering that the player hovering at 1.38ish is significantly above 1 k/d (presumably the wanted average-ish) and has a skill rating of 175-300 and the player at .88 is slightly below 1 and has a skill rating of -74. In fact, and this may be a quiiiiite a stretch, but if you subtract 0.88 from 1, you the .12 difference. From here, if 0.12 k/d = -74 points, each 0.01 k/d is simply 6.17 points. Multiplying that up for the other dude at 1.38, that's an average skill rating of 38*6.17 which is just shy of 240, which is around what the first dude's skill rating lies at. With that being said, there are definitely other factors than k/d out in the field, but once we get all the variables and more data, figuring this out should be trivial.

  13. Sbmm and the way players run around the maps like there life depends on it is nothing short of disgusting. And so many videos now about this game and its bs and nothing is changing Activision do not care sbmm was put in the game to not protect any players at all and is the worse thing to ever enter a casual online multiplayer game. All cod studios are so far gone from what they was we just wont get the games we loved back and we have to let them completely die only maybe then will we see change. Activision here what we want but they never listen

  14. It is mostly 90% bots I would say. Just start playing like a bot. Crouch, and start moving around the map. Do not shoot, just look around. Do that for like 5 games, and you see how the bots adjust. Start playing normal again and all of a sudden they start to get really crazy out of nowhere.

  15. I play on Oceania servers and the game is nearly unplayable with lag and rubber banding. Even in the main menu you can see constant stuttering of the operator.
A billion dollar company owned by Microsoft with all the resources in the world and still they give us trash servers.

  16. Hey Nero. Just wondering if you're still having fun on MW 3. I was thinking about buying it which would be my first cod in about 6-7 years ago. I really am missing a good shooter game, but ive been hearing more and more people are going back to mw3. Just don't want to buy it then have the sbmm kick in because so many people went back to it.

  17. This bo6 didn't just kill cod for me. It killed gaming for me. The fatigue started kicking in after mw2019, and now it peaked, and i haven't touched my Xbox in a month and a half.

  18. First video I've tuned into in a couple weeks. I'm over new CoD at this point. Does anyone still have faith they will pull their head out of their ass? Does anyone still care?

  19. Thats nothing new ! I knew about that since MW2/MW3. It was Just wasn't that obviouse because the Server was still ok- ish.
But this is many years old. Idk how the Community can't inform themselves about this ?

  20. So wait.. it actually tracks movement and still puts me in lobbies where everyone just sits in spawn in TDM??? I played when running and gunning was common so I still do it. So why am I still against people who just never move?

  21. I was going to get my info but if it starts at vanguard then it wouldn't tell me anything of use as i still only really play 2019. I own no skins and have bought no packs in any cod game and i have no interest in new cod games.

If the majority of players were like me we wouldnt be in this stupid ass situation to begin with.

  22. The biggest problem in bo6 is that it's hidden numbers. Why don't they just give us a number or elo in our combat record telling us where we sit. Then oh I could see im a 175 but he's a -75
