  1. I agree with you 110% Asmon. I also quit the game because it’s too much stuff. Too many mounts. Too much bloat. Too many add ons just to be able to raid. And the parsing is also what’s ruined wow. It’s not a community anymore. It’s a D measurement contest.

  2. Just decided to go back into WoW today and holy shit there's way too many things to do that you can't figure out what to focus on. Sure choice is good but choice to the point of confusion is terrible.

  3. You are completely wrong, there is not a thing you said that is acceptable. 40 man raid idea is ridicolously bad for many reasons. Lag, gameplay, too many people to be able to run an efficient guild. It's just bad. Also i wanna see you trying to do mythic tindral with 40 man lol, good luck. Second point is that making raid easier sucks; if i wanna play a game that offers me no challange i would play candy crush or some shit. And about addons? Sure remoove all of them, as long as you put all of them in the blizzard interface options, all of them. you think they can do that? cause if they can't then no, remooving addons is absolutely terrible. You are wrong about everything. Also parsing is bad? Do you even know why people use logs? It's to check cds, who did damage on what, when they popped a defensives ecc. The little number that you make is absolutely useless, no one that actually understand parses use them just to check a little number. Ofc if you are a decent player your parses will be good but who cares. you are just wrong about everything

  4. So his idea is to get rid of addons cause the hardest raids give the best rewards and the hardest raids are too tough/complex and then rebuild the UI with most of the addons in mind and then ban addons. These problems are only really problems for players playing at the highest skill level for the best rewards so I just don't see this as a serious issue since it really affects an extreme minority of the community as a whole. As a wow player for over 15 years and now an ex-retail player I can safely say that amongst my friends we do not care cause this was never what we did, We would raid sure but we never used addons for the raids we just paid attention and any addons we did use were for convenience like Bagnon. If anything id like to see the whole difficulty system reworked cause to me that makes more sense, players like having mods, now they shouldn't be necessary sure but to ban them I think is just ignorant AF.

  6. Its 4am and I own a WoW sub and I am not playing WoW. A good gaming company would see that as a concern. After this next sub is up in 2 months I dont think I am signing up again. Came back to WoW after a 8ish years off and this is so dumb. Why do they insist on gate keeping flying mounts? How much effort when into this stupid flight system when they have spend that effort elsewhere and just did like they used to and forced us to max level then pay for it. AOTC made me quit in the first place. Now I remember why I quit.

edit: Also yea, dmg meters created dmg meter chads and they have added to the downfall of the game. Noone cares if you do number 1 dmg but die before final phase when we need you. Or if the healers are wasting their time healing you instead of tanks.

  7. I used to play in a hardcore guild. And I feel really bad for random or hardocre wannabe people trying to get top parses, when we used to manipulate the parses every raid… Just using cds on the one who is parsing, and shield him to not move, or do mechanics that normally he/she should do, just for keep this player hitting hard on the boss the most time possible, even overheating him to keep hitting the boss…
Logs are just able to manipulate by groups with a minimum of cooperation. Usually hardcore guilds…

  8. i dont get why 40 man raid is supposed to be good. yeah it looks cool having many ppl run around, but its so much effort organising the schedule of 40 ppl. and sitting on a reserve bench is even less fun. in FF14 you have just 8, which means every player can be given interesting responsibilitys. If 40 ppl have to do interesting mechanics then you just wipe all the time, thats why in WoW classic you stand in place and press 1 button.

  9. If you want to fix wow then 1) make mythic keys not deplete, so you can just go again if you fail without drama.
    2) No Mythic-raid lockout. Its outdated. Just let each boss give loot 1 time per week. Let me do the first boss with one goup and then continue with a different group on sunday. Let me help friends on their clear. This also solves the parse issue, if you can just do the boss multiple times per week.
But blizzard is to stubborn to give long overdue quality of life

  10. i just don't understand how it is fun to do bosses like in retail and you just have to move out of shit every 0,5 sec. i want bosses actually hit hard and maybe do some mechanics that could hurt the raid but not constantly moving out of aoe shit like in retail. People don't understand that the game dies without new player and they are doing everything to don't get new player and find new ridiculous requirements to do a fckn easy classic raid. actualy funny

  11. I knew this back in TBC the original.

    Questie why read? Run here.

Personal with no addon reads looks and goes 3rd party site. Invest more time in a game.

Decurse add on click. Click click

Without addon tab or click player and cast heal.

Addon threat meter. Tells you to stop.

No addon boss is running toward me or turns wipes raid.

Just one add on makes a fight leaps and bounds easier.

  14. I absolutely agree about the logs being bad for the game. I know it isn’t aimed at everybody as there are many non dumbfucks who actually use logs to better their gameplay – but for example in my last guild there was a ret pala who creamed himself in discord every week because he played aoe m+ build on Tindral and got an orange parse every time. He was just above the 2 tanks on Tindral boss damage.

  15. I kind of wonder how a new modern version of WoW made by this new wave of casual mindsets would be. It would have the pace and braindead gameplay of classic with all the QOL of retail. Meaning it would most likely be the most boring mmo that has ever existed.

  17. Well for me personally, i think i have the most fun playin the game right now, for the past idk 5 exps? I'm an solo player, i don't go to raids, the Mythic+ are a lot more enjoyable right now, there is a content outside that is making it easier for me to get my new char to a reasonable Ilvl, so yea, the game is broken, raids and a lot of other stuff should be revamped completly, but do i think they didn't do anything good this time around? No. I actually have a motivation right now to just log in and do some M+ with pug or other shit, and that's a first for a looong time.
Even the new Plunderstorm in my opinion is a fun little gamemode, the spells are feelin different, the gameplay is feelin different, the matches are fast. As far as i know nothing is locked behinde a paywall (AS far as i'm concerned the cosmetic items, or char boosts are not considered P2W by me, they don't make you stronger or anything like that). And it's just a good fun little thing to play for an hour or 2 in a day. I don't get people making the X posts about you being wrong or calling you other things, it's your personall opinion and as many of us know, you practically lived the game, I never played "competitevly" for me even the LFR are good to just get to know the story, and if i want a bit of a challenge i can always try PUG for HC's or even Myth's, cause from my experience those are doable.
As far as the addons go, i don't care for much of them, but personally i really don't like the look of the UI that's why i'm using ElvUi, cause it's "modern", it's slick and that's all. Again using them is in my opinion an personal preference.
I hope i didn't show myself as an stupid WoW Fanboy. Just tryin to say my honest personal opinion.

  18. I always stand in asmon''s point on making wow better. Just think of this way, high-end mythic+ players are also encouraging the mythic+ should be deleting some affixes that harm the gameplay, its just like the raiding situation, while some others said harder is better for the game in long run. AND while high-end players would feel like playing against the system that indefinitely increasing the difficulties is not better than making it good to play lol

  20. People are starving for greatness while the collective memory of how to actually achieve it is slowly fading away.
So we get elitist gatekeepers at every possible gate in every forgettable corner.
And if there isn't a gate to begin with they'll create one, just so they can stand there and feel a little bit better about themselves as they constantly reject other people from passing through, referring to superiority as grounds for doing so.
It's sad, and I think it says more about human psychology (or its projected path anyway) as a whole than just the social dynamics within a specific game.

Sure, we can be led there by circumstances, as in bad game design, but it doesn't account for the absurdity of getting fully immersed within it and ignore all other aspects of what makes a "good experience".
Superiority to be the only goal in any case no matter what.

  21. i very much agree on basically all of this! parsing is an absolute horror! you making a game competitive thats never meant to be competitve and instead of people working together to a common goal (defeating a boss) those people just try to beat each other!

  22. Hey man, honestly do not mean to be a jerk. In general I like your content, and just want there to be civil discourse on the web… But gotta say I'm a returning player from og classic (played from day 1 for 2 years). Came back to retail in df and really enjoying the game. Agreed tho that the hit boxes are complete trash, but just wanna say there are people besides the longtime wow simps that do enjoy what they are putting out.

  23. I do a semi guild run each lockout and pug 3-4 players, I try to actively look for players that are new or haven't cleared the raid before. The gatekeepers are insane for such a low level raid.

I returned to wow for SoD and completely agree the parsers/ gatekeepers have ruined the game unfortunately.
