We adore Meimei and Maomao, but man, are they a handful. Messy, needy, pain inducing, cowardly, little birds who grab your heart and won’t let go.
This input is all the opinion of our hobby farm from 3 weeks of owning goslings. This has no reflection on large-scale farming and more professional settings. We are training our goslings to live with the chickens as a guardian/alarm animal since at the moment a livestock guardian dog is not an option. Being able to handle the geese as adults is very important to us for our set-up.
