Welcome to the second and final part of our discussion on creating new species of animals to inhabit your fantasy or sci-fi world. In the last video, we discussed the more physical aspects of your animal–its anatomy, habitat, and so on–and in this video we’re going to discuss how to worldbuild your animal species’ behaviour. Is your animal aggressive toward other animal species or even its own kind? Does your animal live in social groups with a distinct hierarchy? Does your animal have unique magical or biological abilities? What kind of relationship do your humanoid races have with your animal species? Is it food? Labour? A pet?
