[World Record] Shadows of the Damned New Game Any% Speedrun in 3:13:46

Shadows of the Damned is another Suda game that I have apparently fallen in love with. This game is an RE4 style game that is Dante’ Inferno but with more references to my Johnson.

This run in particular is the World Record as of time of uploading and I hope you enjoy it! When running games like this that are incredibly long they do not have as much optimization so this run helps clear some of that nicely. I actually felt pretty defeated around the midpoint of the run because I ended up choking some big autoscrollers but I found a massive improvement in the late game that literally brought the run back from the dead.

Enjoy the run and I hope you enjoyed this game as much as I did since I cannot skip cutscenes in this game! As well this video is running on limited ads since I can’t imagine trying to make this game ad friendly in the slightest. Also Lemon% is Any%, it’s the games easiest/competitive category

  1. I remember when this game came out, i had a good time with it 😀
You kinda expected how the humor would be since Suda was involved.

  2. So, this was quite the ride to watch. I remember almost casually getting all the achievements back in the day because of how a surprisingly fun game this one turned out to be.
It was pretty neat see you in full synergy with it, as well; made for some hilarious moments and commentary. Congrats on the world record!

  3. 2:34:05 It's freaky how close the song here is to Percy's Escape from Bastion, like I think that portion might be note for note the same. The two games came out within a month of each other as well, so can't even really chalk it up to one drawing inspiration from the other.

Bizarre game, epic though. Reminds me most of Devil May Cry with the aesthetic and raunchy humor.
Also 1 week later, and Ecdycis still has first place, it's a miracle.
