Excellent work/progress as usual ๐ Keep it up boys ๐
I was looking forward to the next part.
Trabajo de restaucion extraordinarios
Brilliant!
my inner child is screaming at me as to why i did into get into tank restorations
brilliant keep them coming
PERFECT WORK ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐
I was a certifyed welder for 20 some years and I declare, that boy is an artist!
I will keep on saying it: These videos should be a key part of every secondary school's curriculum to show kids why engineering is essential and what can be achieved. To get them enthused.
Sadly they push kids out to uni and 'Media Studies'.
To see Beau sculpting metal with an angle grinder! ๐๐
On a lighter note I am intrigued to know how an old German 'Gitterbox' (to the left @ 19:54) got out to Australia. German tank parts maybe? The 'Gitterbox' was a returnable crate with fold down front gates used all over Germany from the '60s onwards and everyone used them. They were sized to fit rail wagons and road trucks.
Sorry my logistics OCD cut in . ๐๐
Crazy skill all around.
That twisted-apart torsion bar end is amazing, the force required to do that is hard to imagine.
Amazing
The rays on the torsion bar from an explosion, could that have been hitting an anti tank mine, or a near miss from a bomb?
A day well spent!
good job he can be proud of that
i love these videos, they are just not long enough!
Dude there is something magical about that workshop with the rain. Talk about a vibe. Beau is a very impressive guy. Good at explaining too. I'd watch a how to weld course from him. Such a great channel you guys.
those busted torsion bars, you should slice them like a loaf of bread and sell the slices for coasters and paper weights. wouldnt mind having one myself.
13:39 kinda cool to see a crown forklift on distant soil. i live near where that was made.
Another outstanding installment. Thanks, Guys.
saddest words in the world; "thats all we have time for today……."
Amazing work ! ๐ I've been wanting to ask, why don't you weld fill the rust pitting And smooth out the parts/armor to look factory new?
Just one question for all of you at Workshop wddnesday the parts that you have to replace what do you do with the originals please?
To let them cool slowly you could also use a barrel of sand
0:30 This Old Man from Kansas is glad for the Word Descriptions to translate what this Ausi is saying. We both speak different English.
Best penetrating fluid ever= 50/50 mix of acetone and auto trans fluid! You will be amazed!!
I'm a yank and I am amazed at the lengths Bo has taken not to mention the rest of the team to get just one part back to original state from a Stug that was destroyed over 80 years ago, to put it back together like a giant model and get it running and restored back to the day it was destroyed that's dedication congratulations to Australian Armour!
Why not tig weld it with R309L rods? Will get a far superior weld and finishโฆโฆโฆ..toss it in a bucket of sand to coolโฆ..
Love to see that nice weld-bead. In an earlier section they spoke of how when these tanks were made the Germans used much larger dia. welding rods to speed up the job.
Love to see the technical welding. I used to inspect for the petro chemical industry. You have a Schwimmwagen as well! Oh we got to see that one.
Thank you for the update. Awesome to have a job like this. Gotta love your work and great satisfaction in the end!
Does anyone else avert their eyes when you see the blue flash and hear the welding sizzle or just me.
I found when you heat the pice like that.ATF will pull itself into the partโs almost all the way through within 30-45 seconds. Itโs nuts but has always worked for me. You guys are doing a hell of a job.๐๐๐๐๐ with entertainment as A bonus ๐
Great video! I enjoyed it. Cheers!
