💡THINGS COVERED💡
1: Filling Scew Holes
In order for a ultra smooth finish, each screw hole from building the steel cage and sub box needed to be filled up solid. 2 passes with a light swipe first, then a heavy 2nd mound ensured a good even fill.

2: Sanding Filler
Removing excess filler material is so much easier with power tools. A simple orbital sander removed and cut thru all the extra wood filler like butter. This took a lot of elbow grease!

3: Testing CLEAR TUBE For Trapped Air
After deadening the baffle bracing with sika flex self leveling sealant, many viewers commented how there may be trapped air inside the steel pipe. So to test this theory, I took a clear tube and replicated a mini sized model. To my surprise, the hollow tubing accepted every bit of the sealant. No leaks, no air bubbles. Great overall results!

4: QUICK BASS DEMO w/ Dylan Estes
While finishing all the annoying sanding, I hop inside a fellow Bassheads car audio system with a sick 6th Order Bandpass setup. During the bass demo, make sure to inspect the camera exposure for any blow outs! Love me some loud tho 👌

5: Painting Baffle Braces & Angle Iron
This part was really hard! Hitting all the precious wood with overspray was my biggest nightmare… So a BUTTLOAD of masking tape was put down. The angle iron, tubes, brackets, baseplates, screw heads EVERYTHING needed to be covered and protect from the spray.

5: Priming Subwoofer Enclosure
Can’t go wrong with Kilz primer, baby! Never had any problems using it. 2 coats rolled on heavy duty & and thick, that way all the stains stay blocked and hidden under the enclosure.

6: Painting Sub Enclsoure
Went with a industrial looking gloss gray for the color. That way the subs will be white, the enclosures will be gray, and the metal will be black. All different shades of the same color essentially.

AND THAT’S THAT!!! 😎

  1. Man, I love this build series. Your little side thing about the braces was a fantastic demonstration. And the amount of detail you go through to make everything perfect is insane. Plus the wholesome ass bday present and kitties! This episode has everything.

  2. The White Enclosure video and Blowing out the Highlights is just the Camera trying to make sense of the Dynamic Range, Given the Contrast between seeing White an a Pair of Black Subs. The camera has to decide what part of the Image is a percentage of Gray Tone I believe, even a video recorder is Much like and Image Sensor in a DSLR or Mirrorless Camera, same Concept I'm sure. You could probably gain more knowledge by looking into how the sensor works and determines exposure while recording, and how to combat the Contrast difference between black and white tones

  3. Bruce I love the build hell I loved all ur builds however I'm wondering one lil thing here as I was watching you fill the clear tube up and went back and seen the lil clip from filling up the steal tubes and putting the screws in I'm wondering truthfully with adding the screws in like the did the caulk fully cure and not stay liquidity inside due to no air to set it up so it might just be like it never left the caulk gun I'd test another steal tube sealed just like the one in ur ride wait a while then cut it open and make sure it set up right bc if it was to Break you would have a mess on ur hands brother

  6. put grease on the screw heads…it will wipe off
install some cameras in the box with some led strips floor mount bus bars for wiring.
add a screen or two to the amp rack this will show off when the limits are blown away

  7. White does not look good.. at least IMO. Most things that people think white looks good on, I do not. Yeah, it looks clean until it doesn't. Unless you plan on constantly cleaning the white, the clean look will fade from getting dirty over time.
Unless you immaculately clean your home, look around places you have white. I mean really, take a look. I'd say about 90% of things I was asked about being white, I told the person I didn't think it looked good.

I would pick a set of colors you would possibly like to use, then make some kind of open boxes that could let light in for you to test recording with, and see which colors may oversaturate the camera.

That is just my guess anyways.

  8. That's not an issue, it's a "less than" camera with a slow processor. Get a better camera and don't worry about your taste in color over others ability to video your ride.
