Woman's Family Dies in Accident Caused by Drunk Driver

Destiny Klimaszewski is advocating against drunk driving after her life drastically changed because of one. In 2014, she, her husband, and their 15-month-old son were driving when a drunk driver going 87 miles per hour hit them. Destiny’s son, Parker, died instantly. Her husband, Corey, died 24 hours later. Now, she has created a documentary about the incident to spread awareness about drunk driving. She shared her story with Inside Edition Digital’s Andrea Swindall.

  1. I want to see that documentary!!!
I am so saddened about the family cruelly killed in 1 second when some selfish bish decided to drive drunk yet again but my heart is so full to hear of all the amazing work she's doing towards the cause and so happy she found a loving understanding husband and 2 beautiful kids ❤

  2. I feel so sorry for her and her family… WHY would anyone want to drive drunk that should be uncalled for at least she survived the crash while her husband and baby died and the other person didn't have her license taken away she should be in jail like anyone else but the government is flawed at least she found someone else to love most other people don't or won't find someone else but I'm glad she did good for her I didn't realize that the other driver died and that's a good thing.. isn't it

  3. This is so sad and heartbreaking, I wonder if the thought "Why did my baby die? I should have died instead of him." Has crossed her mind. Her husband and her son were both so young when they died. What a tragedy. I feel so sorry for her. I can't even imagine how hard it would be to lose your spouse and your child. 😢💔

  4. I was actually nearly t boned by a drunk driver this Friday morning and ended up with my truck wrapped around a pole. Thankfully I was able to get out of the situation with minor injuries but the driver of the semi who was actually still drunk from the night before since it was barely 5am was actually driving a professional vehicle for his job has terrified me to point of never driving again. Ive seen far too many accidents caused by ppl who refuse to stop drinking and driving but it was actually my father who was an alcoholic that was always drinking and driving that made me never want to be in that position. This womans story is absolutely heartbreaking and made me cry which isnt often, I don't know how she managed to get through that situation without dying from a broken heart.

  5. I was 9 years old and I was in the car with my mom. Holding on to my seat for dear life. My mom was drunk behind the wheel. That is the reason I don't drink. If my friends get drunk I'll be the DD. I have many more stories. But this one changed my life

  6. Wow I didn't think I'd randomly see Destiny on my YouTube suggestions. I used to work under her around this time, like 10ish years ago You mostly never would have known by interacting with her she'll forever be one of the strongest people I know fr.

  7. People stop calling it an accident. It’s not an accident. You know the decisions you make when you drink and drive you have a possibility to kill yourself or someone else. An accident is like putting a cup of water on a table and spilling it onto the floor. That’s an accident.

  8. The lady who was driving drunk had no business being on the road, I am sorry for her loss, and I am so happy that she was able to find love again after such a traumatic experience.

  9. How you just do you give justice to someone who has lost everything like this? Not even fathomable. I’m so heartbroken for her but this woman is so admirable and resilient. Her husband and beautiful child would be so proud of her.
