  1. Little doubt that the tracked location is government-subsidized housing; making contact with those derelict do-nothings wouldn't be easy and would probably lead to accusations of racism if you did.

  2. Why can't these people just get jobs? Is that now considered "selling out?"

Police need ro start arresting them.
DA's need to pursue all possible charges.
Judges need to give harsh sentences.

    If that fails, buy ammo.

  3. Someone replaced my personalized AirPods Pro 2 with fake ones. I tossed the fake ones in the dumpster. I plan on buy the latest kind available. Apple Bank nor Apple ID care enough to use the protection plan that I pay for the devices. It’s a scam.

  4. When my laptop was stolen, the thieves took it to a north county address. It was stolen in the city but the county police did the "knock and talk" which led nowhere of course. Luckily, I found the thief's IP address in my FB account. Still wasn't enough for the city detective to do anything with. I complained and got another detective who couldn't or wouldn't do a subpoena to get the account holder's name.

Long story short, the thief has probably moved on to airpods.😒

  5. Got my vehicle broke into attending the Sheldon Concert Hall. They stole a suitcase with a family heirloom photo in it. Can't be replaced. Police were TOO busy to come. Ridiculous.

  6. I have to say this no offense but why would you leave your purse and a parking lot that is unsecured and no security knowing that it can be a target for people that are criminals that go around and do this for a living I mean if you would have just taken your purse with you they probably would have never hit your car they seen that purse

  7. Sorry to say that St. Louis police don't want to be bothered even long before the staffing shortage. If you call asking for help be it a major or minor incident they act like the person needing help is the problem for daring to expect them to actually uphold the law . No wonder there is so much crime in St. Louis.

  11. Can't blame this one on Kim Gardner, but the level of indifference from the Police Dept sure does sound like her.

Apple would confirm that the tracking is valid, if the Victim's tracking app wasn't sufficient (???!) for a warrant.
And going there might have revealed other items stolen from cars that same night. Or perhaps revealed drugs, human trafficking, any number of possible criminal activity. All brought to a halt by the carelessness of the criminals in stealing traceable property.

The "soft on crime" is clearly a thing in St. Louis. "Lojack" software on laptop computers routinely reveal criminal enterprises at the pinged location that make the effort of getting a Search Warrant more than worthwhile. How truly sad that the police didn't even bother.

Whatever larger crimes from these same suspects that may occur due to the indifference shown to this Victim, the Police Dept will have to own that one.
