An investigation is underway after a woman was choked to death by the father of her children during a dispute about the way she disciplined the kids in southeast Houston Tuesday, authorities said.

I've never heard of someone instantly dying from a chokehold, that usually takes some time and the person would struggle. As a result she would have released the kid she was allegedly choking. This sounds super fishy.
