  2. The crown prince revealed an ambitious program of social and economic reform entitled "Vision 2030" and pledged to diversify the economy by offering part of the state-owned oil company Aramco to the public and encouraging new companies to reduce dependence on oil exports. The plan also calls for strengthening the presence of women in the labour force and easing Saudi hardliner social norms.

  6. I think MBS is making a mistake by moving away from the US and Western allies and more towards Russia and China .
If Iran attacks Saudi Arabia as it has in the past or worse , then will Russia and China go against Iran ? I doubt it very much . If Saudis loose US Naval support in the Gulf , will they bring in China for security ? This could cause a massive upset in the region . It's one thing to sell more oil and gas to China but it's another thing to set yourself up for weak regional security .
MBS seems to think that Saudi Arabia is now some kind of Military power . That's a joke .
