There was a moment where I was legitimately concerned that the 2023 Dubai Airshow would be a little bit boring. After all, we’ve seen so many massive aircraft orders so far this year, that it seemed that no one was saving up for the show. But boy was I wrong. This year’s Dubai Airshow was one of the biggest in its history, with some absolutely massive orders and announcements.

As a traveler I dont like the big Boing orders. Airbus are so much more quieter to fly with. Prefer Airlines with modern Airbuses any time.
I think Emirates’ 787 order will become their equivalent of United’s A350 order. I seriously don’t see them operating 35 of a completely different aircraft type. Perhaps they will all be transferred to FlyDubai like the -9s?

Hi Coby, as an Airbus Engineer, let me clarify that even though A359 and A35K are 2 different variations, from operational point of view there is no difference.. The crew will not need any additional training.. If I can stretch it, even the A380 crew can pilot the A35x and vice a versa with little to few changes in operational requirements. This is the beauty and goal of Airbus Common Cockpit which is visible also on SA-LR fleets. I guess the same can be stated for Boeing 787-8/-9 and 777s. So I believe the EKs fleet strategy is not exactly a loser.
You have to give credit to Boom's ability to fundraise with just a few animation clips. They cost way less than the actual engineering

Tim Clarke is a dirty businessman just like the others in the Middle East guitar happy and using this chat for a long time and it’s the backbone of their company. The Trent XWB engine is actually the most reliable engine out there. It has been tested and proven on so many airlines as you said the 1000 has had a popular two years. Tim Clarke has announced publicly many times how much he wants the triple seven because it’s the biggest so we know he wants that jet. Bowen knows how much he wants it. This is what I find funny about the CEOs the 737 max murdered 300 people. The Boeing 787 has had so many issues and the triple 7X is five years delayed. Tim Clarke even said Bowen wasn’t even giving them any information what time and business practices are these then he has the hide to actually pay out air bus I mean what a wanker the biggest problem with the 777X is that it’s been built for the middle eastern airlines, not anyone else and that’s why so many Boeing 777 300 operators are going to the 1000 we have to do is minus the middle eastern airlines, and there is the true popularity of this new triple 7X in my opinion, and Bus have done the right thing if the engine was so bad, he wouldn’t have ordered the 900 I don’t think airbus worried whatsoever favourite experienced what Boeing are about to experience with the triple seven program in 10 years time that order book won’t be big. Honestly I think Ethiopian’s order of 737 MAX has something to do with Ethiopia-US relation. The 737 MAX is absolutely better now, but whenever I step on that aircraft, I still worry a little. You know, it has just been 4 years after all
Forecast: 777x will be delayed and delayed until those orders are converted to A350.

I don't understand why it's so hard for Boom to find a suitable jet engine. There's any of a number of military jet engines that could provide enough power and fuel efficiency for their civilian supersonic jet. The GE XA100 Adaptive Cycle Engine which just got axed for the F-35 upgrade, would be an ideal candidate.
