any rough idea of when v3 will be available for the public?
In regards to the flags changing when the government in power changes, I kinda find it fascinating to see what different political movements had as their flags since the 20th century was such a volatile time period, even if many of these flags never were used cause IRL they never came to power. I just find it an interesting detail, but I also understand why you want to change it to a uniform flag to avoid confusion per nation. Perhaps a good compromise would be to make a "change flag when government in power changes" option in case someone wants the extra level of immersion?

Being able to play the minor nations finally gives the player a good reason to pick ships as war prizes upon victory. You were simply too small to make ships on your own. You needed to take them from someone else.
Perhaps some sort of "Factions" system could be implemented. I could see it helping with alliances, treaties and wars by allowing minor nations to choose to "attach" themselves to am larger nation and follow them over the course of a conflict, earning victory points towards a shared pool, and with a single treaty able to end the conflict for all involved.

If I read the politics scene correctly, Argentina had two ports. I assume the next video will start off will "well turns out Argentina isn't dead," as you show us some random bit of Asia or a tiny island they acquired at some point.

Comandante da Marinha de Guerra Brasil has immediately ordered the fleet to move to the Rio de la Plata.
Buenos Aires Blockaded! 34:40:

The Marinha de Guerra Brasil has moved into the Rio de la Plata and blockaded the capital and major port of the República Argentina.
The Exército Brasileiro has begun the invasion of Argentina from the Estado Oriental del Uruguay and the Estado Rio Grande do Sul and of Paraguay from the Estado Parana and the Estado Mato Grosso do Sul.
Battle of Buenos Aires 36:26:

The Armada de la República Argentina, with everybody allied against them, their ports blockaded, and resources scarce, has managed to build one Barco torpedero, the Segui class Segui T-1. She sortied out and engaged the Mearim class Torpedeiros Mearim T-1 and Mearim T-2, from the Montevideo Naval Base de Uruguay. At 446 tons, the Segui only double the number of torpedo launchers of the older GEG class.
Maerim T-2 led the division when they sighted funnel smoke lying low on the water to the north-west. Maerim T-2 turned to close on it. Having superior torpedoes, Maerim T-2 launched hers first. Segui T-1 powered past them. But fortunately the Argentine decided to provide a torpedo explosion, when a 3” shell hit one of their launchers, detonating the loaded torpedo. Segui T-1’s three 4.7” guns were bigger but her crew were raw cadets, and she wasn’t getting hits while Maerim T-2 was. Maerim T-2 edged in towards Segui T-1 while Mearim T-1 tried to close from behind, rather than breaking to port and letting Mearim T-2 herd the Argentine into her torpedo range.
Finally Mearim T-1 was able to turn into the course of Segui T-1 and gain position on her. This drove Segui T-1 back towards Mearim T-2 who got a flooding hit. In return Segui T-1 blew the tower off of Mearim T-2. There was one serious casualty. Out of control, Mearim T-2 struck Segui T-1 just as the Argentine sank with 14 of her 43 man crew. Mearim T-2 took one casualty while Mearim T-1 picked up the 29 Argentine survivors.

Paraguay Falls to Argentina!

The landlocked South American country of Paraguay has fallen to the attack by Argentina. This acquisition moves the Argentine border further north into Brazil. The government is being complacent while the rest of the world has declared Argentina an outlaw regime. The República Argentina is currently at war with the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, the Troisième République Française, the Deutsches Kaiserreich, the United States of America, the Regno d'Italia, Dai Nihon Teikoku, the Reino de Portugal, the Groot-Nederland, the Sublime Ottoman State, and Hellenic Republic. The República de Chile has terrible relations with them.

The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland has conquered the American occupied South American province of Venezuela. American losses were 188 thousand to 373 thousand for the Royal Army. This changes the complexion of the Amazon frontier, with the Yankees now having only having the Colombian border with us but Britain having more.
The British are also attempting to land against the Pacific coast of America.

The rest of the country was thrilled, and the Ação Integralista Brasileira have won a total majority in the Chamber of Deputies and the Senate.

A Sacrifice to Peace 14:17:

The San Luis class Encrouraçdo Mendoza, from the Rio Grande do Sul Estação Naval do Rio Grande do Sul state, recently repaired and recommissioned, but not yet refitted, was not yet ready for operations when the Regia Marina sent the Francesco Caracciolo class Corazzata di prima classe Fama Volante, a ship armed with two twin 12.1”/38 Mark 1 gun turrets fore and aft, eight 3.3” casemate guns, and two side underwater torpedo tubes, escorted by two sea-going Stella Polare class Torpediniere, the Clio and Vega, as one task force sent to blockade the coast of Brazil and force the end of the war on terms favorable to Rome. Mendoza sortied to defend Rio Grande do Sul with the Uniāo class Cruzador Protegido Guajará when they spotted funnel smoke coming towards the port.
Fama Volante came over the horizon to the north-east. Identifying the class and knowing what intelligence they had on it, Guajará was detached and ordered to close for a torpedo run while Mendoza closed at her best speed.
As Guajará closed the Clio and Vega appeared. These boats Guajará could eliminate with her 4” and 2” guns. Her torpedoes were locked down until she could get good solutions on Fama Volante. The two Torpediniere had 4.4” guns but they were unarmored. As a belted cruiser, Guajará was armored to take their fire.
Sensing the threat from Guajará, Fama Volante turned away, hoping her escorts could deal with the Cruzador. Clio however was quickly sunk with 37 of her 38 man crew. Vega tried to cut between Guajará and Fama Volante as Mendoza came into range with her 10.5” guns. With both Vega and Fama Volante ahead of her Guajará was firing from both port and starboard. Unfortunately this brought her close enough for Fama Volante to finally get a hit with a 12.1” shell, flooding Guajará aft and inflicting 7 casualties.
Guajará turned to present her port torpedo launcher towards Fama Volante. She launched her port torpedo just as two 10.5” shells from Mendoza fell short and hit Guajará. This friendly fire incident was chalked up to a green crew using Argentine equipment they were not yet familiar with. 18:13:
Amazingly, Fama Volante powered past the first torpedo. Guajará began to turn to get another launcher in line. As she pulled a tight turn, still firing on Vega, Guajará launched her starboard tube at Fama Volante. The torpedo hit and Fama Volante began to flood forward and took 23 casualties. Guajará was able to reduce her flooding but three compartments were completely awash. Vega finally sank with 35 of her 38 man crew.
Guajará was now pointed at Fama Volante and was able to launch her forward torpedo. Fama Volante was flooding badly enough that she had taken a list and was having difficulty training her guns. The incoming torpedo took off her bow. Fama Volante had lost her forward turret and most of the forward third of the ship. She had over 40 casualties reported along with two engines disabled. She was slowing to a stop. Guajará had one engine disabled and was being carried by momentum into the range of Fama Volante’s 3.3” guns. Guajará cut speed, pounding away and waited for her torpedo tube to reload.
With no headway the waves rocked Guajará as her 4” and 2” shells ripped at the superstructure on Fama Volante. But as Guajará lay there Fama Volante was able to get two 12.1” shells into her. Guajará was finally able to launch another torpedo, getting another hit but not far enough back on Fama Volante to spread the flooding. However her internal bulkheads began to cave, and Fama Volante sank with 356 of her 365 man crew.
Guajará had taken 28 casualties. The government did not immediately release information about Italian sailors rescued from the battle, and Rome has charged Brasila with war crimes. In the final accounting only thirteen Italians were found, one from Clio, three from Vega, and only nine from Fama Volante.

I always use 150mm guns on destroyers with light shells. Against CLs, DDs, Transports, the big HE shell is best! Early on, I put on two 150mm guns, plus torpedoes and that's it! You won't hit much above 5,000m anyways… so it it hits, the 150mm light shell hits hard!

Though neither nation is likely to be invited into the English Channel Entente, their decision to pressure Russia to ending their dismantling of the Österreichisch-Ungarische Föderative Republik is an interesting twist of diplomacy.
The Reino de España joined with the other powers in declaring war on the Russian Empire, as did the Chinese Empire.

The Empire of Korea has declared war on the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, citing their unwarranted attack on the Russian Empire.
The pot immediately boiled over, as the Empire of Japan and the Empire of China are now at war. This would put Japan on the Russia rather than the British side of this new global conflict. As Portugal is now at war with Japan as well, Portugal remains in the English Channel Entente.

Groot-Nederland has declared war on the Empire of Korea. Korea went to war with Britain, thus Groot-Nederland remains a charter member of the English Channel Entente. Three power blocs seem to be jellying, the English Channel Entente, the Pro-Russian Alliance, and the Anti-Russian Alliance, which currently sides with the English Channel Entente, but was recently or is (America) at war with it.
The Empire of Russia has managed to line up as enemies Britain, France, Nederland, Spain, Ottoman, and China, as well as Germany, America, Italy, Japan, and Chile. Korea is a Russian ally and Russia has good relations with Portugal and Argentina, and Argentina is at war with Britain. Austria is exhausted but still at war with France and Nederland, as well as Brazil, Greece is hostile but at war with the Anti-Russian alliance, and Brazil is dealing with their own list of problems.

The government in Brasila has announced it will be signing a peace treaty between the Estado Novo do Brasil and the República Argentina at Midnight New Year’s Day, Buenos Aires Time.
Centrist and Conservative factions are decrying the Nationalist move to end the war. The Marinha de Guerra Brasil is hugely please to find they get to claim all five of Argentina’s Acorazados de segunda clase, the San Luis class San Luis, Libertad, Mendoza, Chaco, and the newest Argentine ship, Río Negro. This reduced the proposed war indemnity from $184 million to just $3 million. For a country as wracked by war as Argentina, the reduction of the indemnity along with the avoidance of the cost of repairing the five ships must have taken some of the sting out of the loss of honour for losing them.

Brief: The Uniāo '96 class will consist of four Cruzadores Protegido designed to a target displacement of 3,000 tons and a top speed of 18 knots. The refit will improve the main armament, torpedoes, launchers, and engineering plant. It will also upgrade the armor quality and increase the range through more bunkerage and engine efficiency.
Propulsion: The class has three triple expansion engines provided steam by three naturally aspirated boilers burning new coal vented though one funnels generating 2,586 indicated horsepower turning two screws for the required top speed on a design displacement of 2,957 tons fully loaded with a balanced rudder turned by steam power for an operational range of 1,736 nautical miles.
Armament: The class' main battery is fourteen single mounts seven per side bearing 4"/35 Mark 2 guns with 2" face and 0.2" top nickel steel armor, turned by advanced hydraulic power with enhanced reloading, using coincidence range finders, and with The main magazine carries a balanced load of standard sized 50% Base Fuze HE and 50% Standard AP shells using White Powder as the propellant and Gun Cotton as the bursting charge. The secondary battery is six casemates mounted three per side bearing 2"/36 Mark 2 guns with 1.5" face and0.2" top nickel steel armor and two mounts forrward bearing 2"/32 Mark 2 guns with 1.5" face and 0.2" top nickel steel armor. Protection: New Nickel steel armor is clade with an added underwater protective deck 3" on the main belt, 1" on the extended belt, 0.2" on the main deck, 0.2" on the extended deck, 0.1" on the inner deck, 1" on the superstructure, and 1" on the conning tower. The Class has a single bottom hull and standard bulkheads separating improved compartmentation. A crew of 206 officers and enlisted men will be provided standard quarters. The class carries radio communications systems.
Construction: The refit will cover the Uniāo, Poti, Atlantico, and Guajará. Refit time will be 1 month with a recommissioning time of 2 months with the ships refitted in pairs. Valuation of each ship will rise to $8,970,308, and monthly maintenance in port will now be $340,872.

Don't know if you already have (or if you're scrapped them) But if you refit those BBs again, you might want to consider changing their towers From what I can see, they seem to have low-level towers installed. Doing so (if you have the weight to do so) can greatly help with a lot of the finer details of ship handling and fighting abilities.
