  1. Awesome area ! Fancier motel than I can afford but I enjoyed seeing it. I stayed at the Holiday Express in Amarillo Tx a couple weeks ago. Clean and nice . $104 / night and the same breakfast you had was with the room ! My room didn't have a view of the Ocean though ! 8 ) Would love to tour that Battle Ship ! Ya'll drive safe !

  2. This was great! Thanks for the drone shots!
I've been on the Battleship twice as a kid and an adult. The deck walk is fine, but the steps are a bit challenging for aging folks. Nice to see the old majestic girl again. I'm glad they're keeping her pretty.
And yes, Wilmington is a Film Industry Hub, believe it or not. The Legendary 1986 AC/DC Band Featuring Movie "Maximum Overdrive" was made not far from there. They used one of the indoor studios there East Side. The West Side Temporary Outdoor studio "Dixie Boy Truck Stop" was built along US-17/74, about 9 miles NW of Eagle Island. It actually has a Leland address on 2011 Andrew Jackson Hwy, but of course there's some other business there now. Might even be more construction going on out there, because it's a growing Industrial Park Zone.
WoooWeee, that Holiday Inn is nice, but too rich for my blood. I'll just stay home, sniff some saline nasal spray, watch the ocean on a screen, and turn the volume up on the waves crashing, turn on the oscillating fan for wind, and mix in some seagull noise perhaps. Can't walk on soft sand anymore, so no reason to virtualize that part of the dream, keeping it somewhat accurate, lol.
Thanks for the Vid! Have a great day!

  3. Greeting from Sweden😁

i have followed your trips around the states and love the southern states, Gulf shore AL is my favorite and hope i can one day visit it, but how has the war affected US on the prices? have you guys feelt any difference compared to last year before the war started in Ukraine? cause here in Sweden its a disaster with everthing, you guys eated at that hotell for 45 dollars totally, that would have cost here in Gothenburg easy 85 dollars.

  4. Imagine that I was born and raised here I’ve watched this place go through so many drastic changes from one way streets, dirt roads, Wool Worth , Toms Drugs Store , Reeds Jewelry, the Movie Theaters , We have lots of homeless people they are scattered across Wilmington living wherever they can sit you don’t know anything about this place you’re only in the decent areas of town you haven’t crossed over to the other side because you probably were told about it I hate when people are given misinformation about a city only to get people to come visit the money making areas this place isn’t what y’all think it is don’t be fooled explore and come and visit for yourself don’t allow someone else to lure you in with partial videos they can’t tell you if they don’t live there themselves our beaches are ok they too are money traps also I’m not knocking this place I’m just knocking how they are handling things here and lying to the public and the visitors and people who are moving here they are be careful who you vote into these chairs for mayors, council members and senators

  5. I am sitting here in India and watching your videos for a while. Just love the feeling of watching these American cities and small towns from the comforts of my living room. Thanks for your efforts.

  6. I live in Wilmington, because I chose it and I love it. Your video does a great job of showing two of the most wealthy areas. I wish you would have traveled in a few different directions to show the reality. There are Very low income areas around downtown. There are many homeless here. There is a huge drug problem here and more and more treatment centers being built. There are many homocides and shootings. There is a lot of government corruption and I'm pretty sure the stats you read have been fabricated. Wilmington/New Hanover County officials care more about appearance. There are also a lot of good, hardworking people that try to help those in need. The weather and the surfing is good (for an east coast town). People need to see what it's really like, the good and bad, because there is Both here.
