  1. Try using the heavy dust degreaser from harbor freight. It’s 10$ a gallon but that stuff works amazing. I used it on 2 jet skies that sat outside for years and the mildew and stains just run off.

  2. I would replace and keep that other side door as an emergency exit. If the overhead doors are closed and someone is working at the new lift they might not have an exit path if and there is a fire in the middle bay.

  3. I do enjoy these shop updates. It's an insight that would be impossible without you running the shop, and it shows just how quickly you found your feet after being fired. You were working to get all your ducks in a row and it has paid off extremely well. It's rare to see someone who genuinely loves the work have such monumental and rapid success, but I thoroughly enjoy it.

  4. I think you should paint the floor as well. It is not that hard to do, not that expensive and it really upgrades the shop, allows you to cleanup all future spillages and easily locate any dropped nuts, bolts, caps, bearing balls, whatever.

  5. When you're thinking about paint, consider doing the ceiling in blue. I did it on the porch, and now I can sit on the porch when it rains and still see blue sky when I look up. d=O)

Can even paint some clouds around the light fixtures, and nobody will ever know that you meant to do that to reflect the light! d;o)

  6. Ray. From experience a word of advice: Confer with "Wife Unit" as to colour (Australian spelling) of paint you decide apon! Otherwise you will love your job so much you will do it twice?

  7. Its a shame they didn't put that office in the back of the building, so the lift could be a straight shot in. If it were, you could put the small lift on that side, and the big lift in one of the slots were you have more room for big trucks.
