  1. Pyotr Tchaikovsky, Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov, Modest Mussorgsky, Sergei Rachmaninoff, Igor Stravinsky, Sergei Prokofiev, Fyodor Dostoevsky , Anton Chekhov, Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn, Alexander Pushkin, Boris Pasternak etc ,etc. Sparta did not produce people like these also.

  2. In this case, I find Russia to be like the Persian horde. But, we are a republic, not a democracy. That was more like Rome. Rome basically appropriated Greeks and made it their own, but all the same- the founding fathers of America focused on Roman Republic's zenith as example for what kind of system they should create, based on the primary sources' fond writings and reminiscences from that period.. Most of us don't believe our people invented freedom, or even exemplify it that well here in the States.

  3. Dear Konstantin, thanks for your streams. So much to think about regarding Space exploration and your Athens/Sparta analogy. I also am prone to bronchitis and pheumonia. Put honey and maybe something stronger in your tea ๐Ÿ˜ and rest up. REALLY appreciate your thoughts on space programs, and Sparta analogy. May comment later. Love and well wishes to you and fam and Usual Suspects and Mods!

  4. Lets not point fingers at Russia being a bad guy, because they are bad guys in a world filled with other bad guys. Innocent blood get spilled everywhere across the planet. Lets look to our own countries first!

  6. Oh well, Marquis De Custine was right 180 years ago when he said: the chances that a Russian elite will come to the foreground and lead the country to a new and better world is not existing.

  7. The country of Greece did not exist in the BC era, nor was there any "Greek civilization" as has been taught by western historical academia since the 1800s, very much pushed by the German pseudo-historian Droysen. Greece was first created at about 1829 by the Bavarians and given the flag of the British East India Company. The civilization in the balkans during that time was Macedonian/Pelasgian. A lot of ancient Macedonian history has been passed off as Greek, purposely done in many cases to erase Macedonian identity by western European 'elites'. The real "Greeks" (a term coined also by the Romans) were the Danai, who were African/Arab arrivals to the Peloponnese and lower islands from about 600BC onwards, and who many were used as slaves by the wealthier Pelasgians (a term meaning white Europeans) elite of the cities/polis' such as Athens, Thebes, etc. Above was the aryan Kingdom of Macedonia, who eventually gained control of all the cities/polis' through force by the battle of Chaeronea won by Macedonians Phillip II and his son Alexander the Great.

  8. As a fellow History "nerd" I found your video to be very interesting and the parallels you made between the Spartan mindset and the current Russian mindset are interesting, and there are some points I completely agree with you, so it was interesting to listen to your perspective. Myself I was raised with some "military" like demeanor, since I had family in the military and in the police force, so I can understand the value of order, silent and obedience to a higher perspective of an organized society for the common good, but when that turns into blind obedience and aggressive behavior and living loses all of its diversity and poetry, then we have Sparta, that was very organized, very cold, very effective military, but that became a place where people did not lived, they survived, and from an outside perspective, we can see that happening in Russia.
In my country we also lived under a dictatorship, and sometimes things you say, or that I hear and see from Russia remind me a lot of the things my parents and family members told me about what it is was like living in the "old days", the good, but also the bad, like having a warship out in the sea while a "popular" regatta was taking place with children playing in the beach and a leisure Sunday day was closely monitored by police near the beach and infiltrated agents watching over any inappropriate behavior in the gathering of people.; or one of my grand uncles being beaten and forced to walk 12 kms on foot in the bleeding sun after the severe beating and night of work in the mines because him and his colleagues dared to try and strike.
We need order, peace and ethics, but we do not need blind obedience and oppression.

  9. Ahwell i think Russia will create it's own destiny. Not good for it's citizens however as they will be paying for the Ukrainian special operation for the death, damage of their murdering of defenceless Ukrainian citizens.

  10. I don't mean to insult anyone from Chechnya, but why is it that almost every time I read about an atrocity, rape, mass murder of civilians, etc I then see the word Chechen troops attached to it??? Are these troops considered part of the Russian military?

  11. You sound rough man. We love the hard work you put into these videos but we don't need you doing so sick. Get some rest and take care of yourself.
Also I think most Americans know we didn't "invent" democracy "or at least i hope so lol". That's why all our money and alot of old Government documents used Greek quotes throughout.
    Sending love from America ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ.

  12. Many people donโ€™t know but the United States is Similar to Ancient Greece. Each state governs its own borders yet it is part of the United States. That is why it is known as a republic. The United States will never be Fascist or Communist because the spirit of 1776 still lives on in each American blood. I will rather die for liberty than live in bondage of authoritarian.
