Will I be returning to Overwatch 2 and do I think the changes are amazing?

0:00 – Intro + “will you go back to Overwatch 2?”
2:00 – Pros
8:30 – Cons

These are just my thoughts and feelings on Overwatch 2.

Some extra things I didn’t mention in the moment or maybe even clarify:
– I didn’t even factor in team comps. You might want to play certain champions but they don’t fit with your team comp so it’s better to switch sometimes.
– Those who already enjoy Overwatch will enjoy Overwatch 2 because it’s pretty much the same game.
– Overwatch 2 isn’t bad. It’s just not amazing enough for me to want to make it my main stream game. It’s still very fun with friends casually, not competitively. So yes I will still be playing this game but only from time to time.

  1. I feel like a lot of people still blindly trust blizzard which confuses me so much after everything that happened, also can we not forget that for these changes we waited over 2 YEARS and so far we essentially have 1 new characters and a few reworks (which some arent even good, i feel like at least as symm mains we know how bad it feels when a rework changes your character so much its essentially deleted), and yes i know more is in store but we still know nothing about the rest of the changes and how long will it take for those changes to be implemented. yes the new graphics and sound effects are nice and all but like… the old sound effects and visuals were fine and didnt really need changing, it just ended up adding extra time and cost to the production which could have been used for actual content. The only fully good thing i love is the implementation of a scoreboard.

  2. I actually agree so much about the update/meta you said. I hate how community is making the meta. Yes, community is happy that you listen to them, but like look at how bad and poor the meta is… In League Riot make changes that seem unreasonable and “overpowered”. Ahris mini rework is one of the examples. Her rework was hated so much, but in the end she was better than before

  3. i agree with most you said also i do think they should patch more often but league overdoes it i swear if you take a break from league for 3 months or 1year its like you play a completely different game wich made me not get back into it you spend more time looking for builds and stuff then actually playing not even gonna talk how much the jungle changes every year making it almost impossible to keep up

  4. Something I was thinking about yesterday is that if you asked a group of more casual former Overwatch players and asked them why they dislike the game now, chances are that their answer will be Blizzard focusing on esports so much and the Overwatch League existing as a whole. A lot of the game's fun started dying when they began to balance around pro players. I haven't played Overwatch in over a year now I think and the last time I had fun was early 2018 i.e. Season 9.

I mostly played Sombra,Widowmaker and Symmetra and the first two just kept getting repeatedly nerfed until they felt horrible to play for the average player because they were strong in the OWL. Symmetra also got nerfed a ton as we all know, but non-Sym players (usually the pro players and other OWL fanatics) act like she's still strong because of her TP -__- Sombra got reworked into a proper DPS for OW2 (and mind you,I can imagine she'll just keep getting nerfed regardless) but Sym is still the same and she's considered "strong" because of her TP and not her damage…as a DPS hero.

Also I feel like the game's biggest reason for going downhill was Blizzard REFUSING to nerf dive and mobility in general in Season 9. And instead they added Brig, who was the first thing to change the game for the worst. I know other games, like League of Legends of course,do pro player focused balancing but I feel like Riot does a better job like 80% of the time at not going overboard with nerfs for pro-play-strong champs.

  5. I agree with your points but I do think we have to take in consideration that we still will get more beta updates before ow2 release. I’ve heard we will even get new heroes till release. Ofc It doesn’t make up for all the core problems but ya I’m just hoping they kinda do better in the future and address it. I’m still excited for the final ow2 pvp and pve.

  6. I’m thoroughly disappointed with OW2 tbh, needs more content as well as champ changes. Regardless if the changes need to happen or not the game just feels like an OW update

  7. I honestly only follow OW content through streamers like Stealthhacker, cause I love to support my favorite creators. That being said, this game barely arrived and is already tired.

  8. I played the Overwatch 2 beta and I already got bored the next day after it launched and remembered why I quit the game… lack of support heroes or just lack of heroes in general. It really gets so boring playing the same thing over and over again and Blizzard takes too long to release new heroes and balance changes. I also agree with what you said in one of your previous OW videos that games feel repetitive, you just pick a hero, do whatever the hero you're playing normally does every game and doesn't feel like you're progressing at all. In League, you buy items, upgrade skills, become stronger as the game goes on, try different builds, etc. Same with Valorant, you get money the more kills you get or as the game goes on to buy different guns and buy more abilites while OW has none of that. I think a talent system in PVP (There's going to be a talent system for PVE only) would make the game less repetitive because it would allow you try different abilities/builds. If none of this will ever be implemented to OW, then they really need to start releasing new heroes more often otherwise the game will still feel repetitive and have stale metas that will last for months.

  9. Its so obvious they refused to just give people what they've clearly wanted for years just so the game isn't unbalanced for OWL because it makes them lots of sponsorship money.
Just put new characters in game, everything else is seasoning

  10. I was really sceptical for 5v5 in OW2, but after playing for a little bit in alpha I must admit that it feels so much better. For sure there's less shit happening on a screen, but also a tank role seems more fun to play, DPS are actually relevant and supports are no longer just healbots.
edit: But the game now needs a bigger amount of support heroes, so it will be kinda similar to the amount of dps heroes.

  11. I totally agree on the diversity part. This is definitely the reason why I generally prefer to play Paladins, as you have waaaay more freedom in how you play the champions. Obviously Paladins has its own problems as well though haha

  12. 5v5 was a big change, so they havent released the new heroes so they can properly balance the older heroes. *which was a good idea because now no one wants to play support) there will be multiple beta releases, and once OW2 releases there will be a free 5v5 + new hero update to OW1.

they've also committed to continuous updates and transparency, atleast with the beta, we're getting weekly dev logs/roadmaps and patches
the beta was underwhelming. but at the end of the day this is exactly what a beta is for, and i think it's incredibly promising. dont forget we will be getting campaign modes and dedicated PvE maps, and a skill tree to customise your favourite hero's abilities in PvE. it's call of Duty zombies but in overwatch with omnics lol

  13. i'm w you in so many points but i think you're forgetting this is just the FIRST beta, literally there's 10 new heroes waiting to test, maps and stuff. i appreciate people talking about bad things too so they can make the game better.
i hope they put shit together and release everything soon cause i'm excited to have new content. the game's fun if they keep it uploaded
