  1. The fear of the US media looking into the lives of these elites is probably the biggest reason 50 unwelcomed. I’ll take a shot in the dark and suggest if you were to look into those houses you’d find many human trafficked people.

  2. Absolutely correct! Restore order…or deal with the consequences. This is nonsensical. I cannot believe the systematic attacks on our laws and governance….safety is not a priority for the citizens under this administration. And Let's take away guns….as they defund the ones that have them…to protect us. Nuts!

  3. Football…and winning….that matters…………….the state of the Union matters more! I appreciate your interest in what is going on. It simply is something to be concerned about. Our leaders are leading us to a total decline in all spheres while telling us everything is okay. You have to be dumb to accept those lies. The evidence is everywhere…..that things will get worse for sure. …Saddle up…..buckle up…for an incredibly difficult life.

  4. The story…simply isn't true. Can someone please get it right? The Vineyard has been welcoming illegal immigrants since the first one arrived here in 1986 and got a job as a dishwasher. There are more then 2,000 here today. They live here and work here and are part of the community. Does everyone here support illegal immigration? Hell no. But we don't round them up and put them on buses. We treat them as what they have become – members of the community, whether we all agreed to have them here or not. Some Vineyard residents live on big estates and have lots of illegal immigrants working for them, by way of the businesses that hire them. Yes, they want their privacy – that's what they're here for. They don't want wind turbines in their back yards. But they don't chase illegal immigrants off of the island. This is the first time in 36 years that's happened and it wasn't "vineyard residents" that did it. It was a small group of people who apparently decided to create a fake crisis to discredit DeSantis.

  5. That's an outright and blatant lie. Speaking as a native, the people of Martha's Vineyard rallied to provide shelter and resources to those migrants that were so horrifically used, lied to and abused by the governor of florida. They were moved by the Governor of Massachusetts to Joint Base Cape Cod so they could be properly cared for – as Martha's Vineyard will soon be shutting down for the season and caring for them on a small island over winter is not practical. I'm tired of political liars, trying to score points on the backs of people's suffering. I can remember when Will was on ESPN, and I agreed with him from time to time. He's ruined his reputation here.

  6. So there’s a lot missing from this dialogue. Most importantly immigration law is National. This means that the migrants were removed from Federal custody by a non-Federal entity. This is actually illegal. While anyone (migrants, children, prisoners, etc.) is in Federal custody, the Federal government has custody of them much like a parent, and no one can legally remove them from Federal custody without the Federal government’s permission which they generally never do unless you’re a contracted federal provider, which are the only people the Federal government leaves these people with in the dead of the night. These contractors are contracted to do the work for immigration and are Charities, but these people were not taken by a Federal contracted entity and even a contracted entity would need permission. There was no permission. Doing so without permission is technically kidnapping and human trafficking, per law. This is a law that is always upheld, which means someone will be going to jail unless someone disrespects the law and uses a double standard for the rich and powerful. Also, very important to note that the Federal government does not give permission over to the states. For example, you might remember some charities getting charged with human trafficking and kidnapping for moving and rehoming individuals. Very important to note that this law actually protects victims of trafficking, so it can’t be revoked at state level as it is considered a human rights issue. This was obviously a stunt by someone who knew little to no immigration law and will result in jail time.

  9. He "abandoned them" to their rich uncle, only if the relatives there closed their doors to "their kind." They wouldn't have been abandoned if they welcomed them with open arms like MV told the world they would. The fault lies with those who slammed their doors, not with the uncle that dropped off the "kids."
