Harbaugh would be the better choice. Belichick is an anachronism in today’s NFL and he was a mediocre to subpar GM, which he might want those duties again if he coaches another team.
One of the few times that I think Peter King is totally lost. BB has been a terrible GM and he's definitely going to assume GM duties if he's hired by Chargers.
BB hired a DC as his OC so recently. But now banking on him hiring a good OC?
Harbaugh cant come back unless he has toned it down. I remember comments from some of the 49ers.

When it comes to coaching ability no one available is going to compare with Belichick. His ineptitude as a GM since Brady left is astounding. Was Brady the ultimate band-aid? Seems so. The Chargers should hire Ryan Day. He has youth and offensive chops going for him.
All the experts have overrated the Chargers roster for years and overplayed Spanos financial problems. It's a salary cap league. Setting aside money for guaranteed contracts is something no owner likes. It's not like he's Jimmy Haslem, who can bump a gallon of fuel a few pennies to cover it.
Bill Belichick please!! Experienced and he will bring a defense that the Chargers will need to get the the Superbowl! Spot ON Peter King!!!!

Peter's dislike of Harbaugh is personal and it's clouding his judgment.
Peter King is one of my least favorites he contradicts himself constantly. He thinks his resume and vocabulary will win him any debate. So brainless to think Belichick is a better option over Harbaugh. He's as delusional as Brandon Staley is and was.
