  1. Postecoglou isn't someone who takes to the media to air his dirty laundry. He is professional and will keep the peace in public and have the heated discussions in private.
Praise in public, censure in private

  2. He'll never back him to the extent that Postecoglou needs, he never does, we are always left short somewhere, and it always costs us in the long run, hence winning nothing.

  3. It would prove the point previously made that the problems at spurs are not manager's but interference from senior staff and owners. After having cycled through so many top flight managers it can't possibly be a management issue.

  4. Ange will ask how much he has got to spend on players in various positions and find the best he can for the money he is given. He’s not a cry baby and not a fool. If he has 40 million, he’ll look in Europe, if he’s got 20, he’ll look at Asia or South America, or anywhere he’s heard of an excellent player no one in Europe rates or wants to take a chance on. ✅

  5. Daniel knows that it is last chance saloon with the Tottenham fans. He lucked out by appointing Ange as the manager and he will be sensible enough to make sure that the latter is backed for his own sake and his own legacy. Furthermore, Ange is as persuasive as Daniel is obstinate or even more so and I think he'll be able to get squeeze out some significant change from Daniel to invest in the squad. I've been calling Ange the Gladiator because he's the slave that defeated the Emperor and people follow him.

But then again I've said some of this before with Antonio (not the Gladiator part of course) so let's just keep our fingers crossed and our feet on the ground.

  6. I agree with Chris here. He'll have known going in exactly what the club can afford and how much of any transfer out money he can use for transfers in. He also has last word on any transfers in. He's not going to throw his toys out of the pram demanding player's x, y and z because they won't be targeting players out with the budget. I also think he gets a buzz out of developing young hungry players, who fit his style and aren't at the top end of the market.

  7. Levy def invest in jan as was willing to sign more in summer but ange wanted players out first and had to get the non homegrown part of squad sorted first as that’s been hindering us in market for few seasons – think levy spent more on Johnson than wanted but Ange made it clear he was vital so got him – we’ll def get a CB and midfielder and if couple leave like Dier they will be replaced – plus if Hugo goes won’t get a gk but he’s biggest earner so will allow another squad non homegrown player

  8. Of course they will sign something – Ange has already said this was a multi transfer window project. They aren’t going to pay a stupid sum – and will only get who he wants only

  9. Ange will have demands, but they will not be unreasonable. When interviewed for the Celtic job, he was the only candidate that didn't ask how much do you have in your budget to buy players.
