Do Spurs need to buy players in January?
Postecoglou isn't someone who takes to the media to air his dirty laundry. He is professional and will keep the peace in public and have the heated discussions in private.
Praise in public, censure in private
Some people definitely don't want to see good things happening at Tottenham
Baldy better back him there will be murder if he dont
He'll never back him to the extent that Postecoglou needs, he never does, we are always left short somewhere, and it always costs us in the long run, hence winning nothing.
Sutton absolutely right
Being at the top by the next window should also make it attractive for players to join the team.
Well done Chris Sutton for having to respond to that load of trash 😴💤💤💤
we dont need 100m players…we all know levy sucks in spending..just buy decent players on a cheap like orban and jota..there are many more out there…
If money wasn't the isssue, would love to see timo werner up front with Son and others
It would prove the point previously made that the problems at spurs are not manager's but interference from senior staff and owners. After having cycled through so many top flight managers it can't possibly be a management issue.
Potchettino famously got on very well with Levy
Standard lazy journalist narrative
What a moron trying to create issues that aren’t there
Ange will ask how much he has got to spend on players in various positions and find the best he can for the money he is given. He’s not a cry baby and not a fool. If he has 40 million, he’ll look in Europe, if he’s got 20, he’ll look at Asia or South America, or anywhere he’s heard of an excellent player no one in Europe rates or wants to take a chance on. ✅
That was simply offensive saying Ange will be a ' patsy ' for Levy, why would you say something like that
Media will try drive wedge thru spurs i wont happen
Typical journalist – next it'll be Ange'll be next Man UTD manager for the coming 8 years, just like Kane was signing for them for a decade.
Ange will buy players but he won't buy mega stars. He'll sell players at the same time.
At the fan forum Levy was practically giddy talking about Ange. He knows he's found the golden goose, he would be daft not to support him in Jan …
Exactly trying to manufacture some negative BS about Tottenham just because we are doing alright at the moment. Ffs boring tiresome stop that crap 💩
Daniel knows that it is last chance saloon with the Tottenham fans. He lucked out by appointing Ange as the manager and he will be sensible enough to make sure that the latter is backed for his own sake and his own legacy. Furthermore, Ange is as persuasive as Daniel is obstinate or even more so and I think he'll be able to get squeeze out some significant change from Daniel to invest in the squad. I've been calling Ange the Gladiator because he's the slave that defeated the Emperor and people follow him.
But then again I've said some of this before with Antonio (not the Gladiator part of course) so let's just keep our fingers crossed and our feet on the ground.
I agree with Chris here. He'll have known going in exactly what the club can afford and how much of any transfer out money he can use for transfers in. He also has last word on any transfers in. He's not going to throw his toys out of the pram demanding player's x, y and z because they won't be targeting players out with the budget. I also think he gets a buzz out of developing young hungry players, who fit his style and aren't at the top end of the market.
Levy def invest in jan as was willing to sign more in summer but ange wanted players out first and had to get the non homegrown part of squad sorted first as that’s been hindering us in market for few seasons – think levy spent more on Johnson than wanted but Ange made it clear he was vital so got him – we’ll def get a CB and midfielder and if couple leave like Dier they will be replaced – plus if Hugo goes won’t get a gk but he’s biggest earner so will allow another squad non homegrown player
The Press love to hate us. I’m fine with that. Love it in fact. When we win something with Big Ange it will make it so much sweeter.
This guy trying so hard to find a problem for the solution
Ange does not take crap, but he will sort it out in house and not in public!
Nothing like some unfounded speculation to offset a slow news day🫤
Always is a word used by people to ignorantly back their argument. Always (oops)
Of course they will sign something – Ange has already said this was a multi transfer window project. They aren’t going to pay a stupid sum – and will only get who he wants only
“Patsy for Levy” – stupidity.. AP knows how to manage up too – go and read his autobiography that was written pre Japan
Ange will have demands, but they will not be unreasonable. When interviewed for the Celtic job, he was the only candidate that didn't ask how much do you have in your budget to buy players.
