Join USGS Wildlife Biologist, Laura McDuffie, as she presents her Master’s thesis research on the migratory movements and harvest exposure risk of Lesser Yellowlegs. The Lesser Yellowlegs population has experienced a steep decline since the 1970s and Laura will discuss some likely causes. Additionally, Laura will present the results of her research, which involved the use of GPS satellite transmitters to track the movements of birds across the Western Hemisphere.
