The Orks, also called greenskins, are a savage, warlike, green-skinned species of humanoids who possess physiological features of both animals and fungi who are spread all across the Milky Way Galaxy.

They are seen by their enemies (pretty much everyone else in the universe) as savage, violent, and crude, but they are the most successful species in the whole galaxy, outnumbering possibly every other intelligent starfaring species, even Humanity (with the very plausible exception of the Tyranids).

But what about their vehicles? Trukks, Stompas, Gorkonauts, Kill Rigs – we have no idea how the Orks make them work, but we do know they are tough and with the newst addition of Wurrboys and a few Tramplasquigs, quite a bit weird.

  1. I'm currently working on an Ork Looted Warhound based on one I saw online
Currently, it's covered in scrap plates, but right now I'm stuck on what weapons to give it. For the right arm, I'm set on a large-scale Grotzooka and twin-linked Shootas, with a lil Grot turret with an autocannon on top of the arm, but for the left arm, I'm stumped. I can either put a demolisher cannon, or a power klaw like those on Ork Warbosses.
So far its coming out pretty good!

  2. Back in the day I flew model airplanes…when I got the ork flyer kit I ask my brother (a helicopter mechanic) & other brother who currently flies models just how hard it would be to make it fly for real!!! 🙂 (conclusion…after a good hard think maybe not the kit (not hollow enough) but if we scaled it up a bit to fit a good sized engine & the gear for the controls….yeap! )

  3. I like to imagine that orks have big garbage purple blankets with green corners to sneak shit under enemy's noses, because green means property of ork but purple is the sneakiest color, so the object they're transporting is invisible until they pull the blanket off.

  4. I think that if I had to choose a lifestyle in 40k, I’d go with an Ork engineer. You just live out your entire life bashing bits of metal into guns, and slapping those guns onto vehicles, and on your off time you’re slapping chunks of metal onto yourself to make you better at slapping chunks of metal together. Even better, you’re unlikely (at least by Ork standards) to be thrown into combat, and if you do you’ve at least stashed a few of your best toys away so you can go out in a blaze of glory.

  5. You ever have a joke you keep telling over and over even though no one laughs at it ever? But you'll keep telling because one day SOMEONE will laugh? One of those for me is "Don't just get moron, get oxymoron!" Bit niche, but it happens.

  6. Orks do have the unique advantage for the true obsessives with large budgets and tons of free time – they can just take any other faction's stuff and 'ork it up' to create a near endless variety of potential models.
