Obviously I would def survive. First Id find a way to kill myself in some really tragic violent manner, then clearly I would become an vengeful spirit / ghost with ghost powers. Then I could fight the martians who would have never developed anti-ghost weapons or a containment unit. Then using posessing one of them, just use their tech to go backwardsly ways inside time. To before they invaded and stop them via making them think earth is 2 spewkie by doing ghost stuff. Clearly they would think earth is not worth invading and theyd go to freeza planet 419. Then cause they never invaded, id not have died and would be reverse deaded backwardsly ways to life. Thats the story of the 1st halloween in january.

When I was a kid, Mars Attacks was an absolutely terrifying horror movie (my introduction to the concept of body horror).
As an adult, it's one of my favorite movies.

Actually, here is a good argument agasint. What you did, is you buffed them beyond what was reasonably shown. The Aliens were shown to be quite intellegent, however, it also showed, and heavily implied, that they are not very wise. With how they destroyed Mars and such combined with thier other failures. What you did is you gave them wisdom that was never shown, so realistically they would still falter.

I was a weird child, imagine a 10 years old midwestern middle child binging this movie at least 2 times a day for the past 2 years
The issue with the nuke is the same issue that most sci-fi uses of nukes have and even the issue why people don't understand why there's so many of them. Countries don't have so many nukes for overkill, it's to guarantee some get through no matter what. So like in this case, you don't launch one nuke, you launch thousands of them to overwhelm their drone. Sure it seems like it's helpless, but you don't know if that's a one off trick and they're hoping you just give up because unbeknownst to you, after the first one they're helpless.
Independence day was annoying with this, like you're left wondering if any of the military leaders ever watched their kids play video games or watched Star Trek. If your enemy has a force field, you don't just hit them once and when the shield takes the hit, go "Oh I guess they're invincible". Na you hit them over and over and over and over until the shield finally fails. Then you keep hitting them to take them out after their shield fails. You give up nuking them, when you ran out of nukes.
Low Key trading cards were a psyop to train us. Would have ended up like Pokemon Go for area defense. Protect the bridges, roads and city central type stuff. Anti-Red Dawn measure.
