As someone who has limited vision this is a good idea. I also think that if there was some kind of.. something to say the color that would be good to. Because I have to ask my husband what color is this ect. Like the eye shadow could have a key on the back. Like one dot is beige. Two dots is nude. Ect. That would be awsome. Like braille but not lol
My half blind wife says check beauty bay, their own palettes are all laid out column by column, each area is same area of the eye. First row is base, second is blend, each column is it's own colour story. I'm trusting that these words make sense because they don't to me!
I feel like some Mac palettes are pretty good about this, but for the different finishes being thrown in. Customizable palettes are also wonderful, I hope they become more easily accessible!
Not into makeup but I would advocate for this, surley it would be easier for everyone aswell if colours were arranged in shade order so you can have a better idea of which you want to use?
I believe the “random” colour placement is a marketing trick to make you think you’re buying a whole new exciting palette when in reality you’re getting the same neutral palette with a pop of, say, blue.
I can see this also benefitting people like me who are fully sighted but have major problems with memory and language because so much of the time I'm stuck not being able to rely on the names of the shades nor their placement on the palette. So often, particularly with nude palettes, I can't figure out which colour I just used so either my eyes are different colours or I have to start again. If I could just think "okay I'm using the 4th one across" my makeup would probably take half the time.
You heard of Alexis Stone? She has a palette arranged really well. Each row is a different colour and the next shadow down from start of each row is a lighter shade of said colour. It's called the instinct palette 🎨 🤪
I really hope that 1 day your blindness will be completly and I am very suprised that you could do what a normal girl can do.Besides your are very pretty and if you were not blind you would be more pretty I hope that one day you would finally not be blind and enjoy a normal life.
Sighted person here. I actually like eyeshadow palettes that aren't arranged from light to dark or grouped by color or finish. I think they arrange the colors in a way that lets the user see them next to contrasting and complementing colors which can promote some creativity. I see how that creates a problem for someone who can't see the colors. I'd prefer if they made eyeshadow palettes more accessible by adding Braille on the lid or the bottom of the box rather than rearrange the colors as you suggested.

i think they do it because they can trick you into buying almost the same palette twice if its arranged differently. its silly
If I remember correctly, Tati's beauty pallete is arranged like that… it'd be nice if more palletes were like that.
It would take big companies no problem to add in brail dots to the back to indicate which color is which! I have no idea why they still haven’t

I never understood why this isn't the norm! It just doesn't make any sense as to why the colors are so randomly placed, thank you for sharing this!
