Hello everyone and welcome back to Verde Beach! Johnson Aggregates has been working on the development of their multi-phase development for over 12 years now and today they build the most important phase. We’re going to be building a Transit Oriented Development or TOD near a highway offramp. It’ll be a node of people-centric development with significantly more density than the surrounding areas. We’ll remove parking to discourage driving and add significantly to the bus service in the area. Further, we’ll add a bus-only slip ramp or interchange to the highway and create a super fast connection to downtown. We’ll also put down a few traffic issues using the new roads that we have available to us as part of the Roads and Bridges update to the base game. This is a longer one, but a good one! Enjoy!

  27. "Moinsen" CPP <- Means here in the north of Germany (Hanseatic City of Bremen) actually good morning but here in the north you say it all day. Even at night. Kind greetings. My request is however another. So I heard and accordingly also saw "TOD", my heart has briefly stopped beating 🤣 For here again a short excursion towards the German language. TOD simply means death in Germany. And therefore I just had to write something again. Am yes longer on it but besides "thumbs up" I comment really rarely. I listen to your videos, like now 01:51 in the night, to get a great atmosphere and even inspiration for own projects. Thank you so much for your wonderful content.
    Maybe there is the possibility in the future to name something after the Hanseatic City of Bremen. Can you imagine that it would contain a personal touch. But of course that is secondary. Have a great time and again love greetings

  29. I think there is a problem with verde beach if we are talking about transportation. Even if the hole metropolitan area is served well by public transportation. The tram network is problematic. We have 2 lines that are not connected one with each other and the riderships on those tram lines is low compared with other modes of transport. I think that those 2 tram lines should be connected and I also think that the tram network should have more lines. You could replace the bus lines with high volume of passengers with trams. Trams are more environmentally friendly and they could transport more people.

  30. I like your channel. It highlights some of the behind-the-scenes aspects of planning the urban landscape big or small and some of the compromises between city government and private investments. I am currently an urban design major at UW but the other one in Tacoma. I'm curious to know outside of being a god level mayor what you recommend to urban planners coming out of school to focus on to make a better city both in game and IRL.

  43. I think part of the issue with the buses is you have too many stops per route. Some stops have 500 people waiting, others have 0 or 1 person. I've read sims will walk up to 1 map tile, so there's no need to have stops so close like every 2 city blocks. Reducing the unnecessary or redundant stops should make the buses complete the line quicker so they can pick up those 500 people waiting more often.
