Besides fueling electric vehicles (EVs) adoption, they could turbocharge the integration of renewable energy into our electric grid. However, a technical fault has been holding back their economic feasibility…until now. Could this lithium sulfur discovery from Drexel University make it the future of battery storage?

Lot of pessimism for research progress here. Every finding is important and exciting! Understand science is accumulation of know ledge and not always a buisiness idea.
Ok, here is what I think of lithium-sulfide batteries – I already ordered a box of them through Amazon. They said that they might not be able to meet their two-day shipping promise, but I said ok… 😊
Carbon /Lead battery is having a BIG come back. The lead acid battery is a great idea that just needs to be "polished" to its ultimate potential and then it gets hard to beat!
A video on the progress of sodium ion batteries. Could this be done? You do touch on it in this video briefly.
Live bomb 😂😂
Can I assume new research into sodium-sulphur batteries has caught your attention already? Would love to see you dig into this.
Sodium/Sulfur battery sounds amazing, hope to see it happen one day.
Thank you Matt. I always learn something from your videos. I hope this technology pans it.
They always say "lower cost" but it's always the opposite. If they can make a battery like that and only make 250,000 of them, do you think it will be cheaper?
New technologies are always good I love this channel u explain very well and where I get my news from thank you undecided
If we want to go net zero battery's for wind and solar and waves will charge battery's and will work when the wind and solar don't work we will need big battery's technologies
Be good to get to a stage where every house has solar and battery's to store the energy
Also new and different choices of battery's and different price ranges especially for people with not a lot of money possibilities of a government loan
Have you heard anything about Drexel University partnering with Tesla in 2023 ?
Honestly I am more excited about the nuclear diamond batteries.
1) They are more feasible from what I've seen.
2) They are also using a by product to produce the end product.
3) Nuclear energy is so far our most environmentally friendly and the least impactful and disrupting to our current level of technology.
only 10% of the world cobalt is mined from privat persons. The new batteries (Lithium iron phosphate) doesn´t have cobalt anymore. 40% of the 2022 selled EV had a battery without cobalt
Carbon neutral is such a hilarious and silly concept. It's like saying the the US debt of 31 trillion dollars and counting is paid for because you required all 300+ million Americans to pay a hundred grand each.
So Drexel indirect paid you to pimp their results.
I really hope that it works, and can be industrilized
Really you people still into the CO2 Climate hoax, brilliant not likely there is some stuff to see here however I would not recommend children watching this with out intelligent parental supervision the kids might want to destroy your car to save the world.
Sodium is the future, NOT lithium
Hunger for EVs?? It's being thrust down our throats by climate cult. EVs are not climate friendlier than gas guzzlers. Get technologies for reconverting CO2. Restrict engine capacity for private vehicles. Enough of Ego driven larger cars and SUVs
