The sith are truly a very dumb species because, they never learn from there mistakes, thats why the jedi are better because of luke skywalker they learn from there past and became better than they ever were before. In doing so they learn to use both the light and the darkside and the learn to balance them both by being better than the old order by following the force and its guidance and allowing emotions .

To me. Even tho it's a good thing the sith went extinct. I think it would've been interesting if they came back as a plot point in the sequels. Bc think about it. Wouldn't it be interesting to see the second coming of the Jedi and Sith Wars with both factions under going development with their teachings?
Jedi adopting a sort of ruthlessness while the Sith are more cautious and less arrogant but still maintaining their core values as a religion.
I think it would've made a good expansion to the franchise.
Up next, why a faction that mindlessly slaughters everything, especially each other, could possibly have collapsed.
Also, can we stop saying "the jedi ultimate mistake of sparing them" it's the force, it would have MADE another threat arise to balance the galaxy, there are plenty of non-sith related threats across this universe, so yeah, honestly, if they killed them, it would be monstrous, if they didn't, it's the ultimate mistake – I'm not a jedi fan, kidnapping is and always will be, ultra f@cked up, but for god sakes, at least you aren't killed for filing a report 20s late.
The Sith, nor the Jedi for that matter, will never be "finally" dead. In a universe where the force exists, they will always come back, even if completely wiped out, it'll just take more time.

Darth Wredd didn’t kill Darth Nihl as far as we are shown or told. He killed his own master, but if it’s possible that Talon and Scythe and Maladi survived, then Nihl could have too. He has the potential to be a Lord of the Sith, he grew up a warlord on his planet, but Nihl wasn’t near Krayts power.
Their entire philosophy is doomed to fail regardless. Old Sith? Constant infighting to be top dog because being Sith teaches power above all else. Rule of two? Extremely fragile. What happens if both master and apprentice die in the same battle like at Endor? That should’ve been the end of the Sith right there but of course plot armor means Sidious keeps reviving himself lol. One Sith? Weakness is as explained AND the fact that their numbers are always doomed to decrease or at the very least remain constant considering the apprentice is to kill the master lol. So at best you have the same number of apprentices replacing masters. At worst you have masters occasionally die before having an apprentice.
Also, the Jedi are basically just as bad as the Sith with how complacent and forgiving they were. The number of times they could have truly stomped out the Sith is ridiculous. But the Jedi are “good” aka stupid and ignorant by not outright executing Sith and Dark Jedi. The comparison of British complacency to Nazi Germany in the 30’s comes to mind. The Jedi complacency directly led to the deaths of trillions

Am I the only one who got fed up with the Sith returning every 5 seconds in Legends? First it was the resurrected Emperor; followed by the spirit of Exar Kun; then Lumiya; then Lomi Plo and Vergere were retconned as Sith; next was Darth Caedus and Tahiri; then millions of Sith with the Lost Tribe and the One Sith. Like does Vader's sacrifice and the Chosen One prophecy mean anything, both in Legends or Disney canon?! Like move on. If you absolutely need people capable of taking on Jedi then Yuuzhan Vong, Sorcerers of Rhand, and Rakatan remnants are a good start. Exploring new dark side cults is far more interesting than "oh no the Sith returned again….. for the tenth time."

Did they? Pretty sure they would just pop up again as they always have. Many sith from the ancient republic era were former Jedi which is really telling.

I think that ultimately no matter who was in charge or what rules were in place the Sith would inevitably destroy themselves. The very nature of the dark side itself is self destructive!!!
The Sith will always exist in one form of another, where there is light there must be dark. There must always be balanced in the force.

Sith will never truly die, they are more of a mentality then a organization, born from the darkness in all people, they will always exist as long as the force exist, this fortunately mean the Jedi Will always exist to counter them.

The dark side may claim more Jedi, but the sith are still able to go extinct. The sith are a philosophy, not the be all and end all of the dark side.

I don't think this is accurate. Darth Nihl succeeded Krayt as the leader of the Sith and he was never killed. By the time Legends ended, Nihl and the Sith were still alive. In fact, after the death of Krayt, Nihl ordered the Sith fleets to disperse and had all the Sith go into hiding so they could infiltrate the governments of planets all across the Galaxy and take over in secret.
I don't think that's the end of the Sith as such, but we'll see I suppose. Or not… 🤷😅
