This is my current hypothesis for the direction of the season/show: Din will be the new ruler of the Mandalorians. For starters, the show is called the mandalorian, originally thought it was just centered on a madalorian but now I'm could thinking it could mean THE Mandalorian.
There were also a few instances in the lastest episode where Bo had the chance to take the dark saber from him but didn't, I saw that as her seeing something in him. Maybe she thinks that he could be the leader she thought she was for Mandalore.
Lastly, say what you want about his religion/cult, but Din is devoted. Making him the ideal candidate for the one who will lead the Mandalorians… anyhoo that's what I'm thinking post episode 2
I think Boca tan and Jendaern should rule mandalore and adopt grogu child and raise thearby becoming a clan of three, this is the way
Mandalore appears to be a 'hollow-planet-with-ocean-core'; could an aroused Mythosaur cause the 'Living Waters' to briefly flood the planets surface?
And could such a flood initiate life and growth?
The Legends are clear: "When a Great Leader rides the Mythosaur, Mandalore is re-born."
'Riding the Mythosaur' could mean Bo and Din riding out a tsunami of Living Waters while 'Big Tusky' thrashes around!

Grogu, leader of Mandalore. Weiding a newly constructed dark saber. Will be badass. Little Grogu, wearing his armor, wielding his cool darksaber. He does need a weapon….unless Luke gives it up. I am probably correct. What kind of helmet will he get, if any?
I feel like the creature has the ability to eat entire armies and those tusks would make it a challenge for Bo and Din if they fight against it in the next episode
The helmet which Din found in the sand under Mandalore looks more like bone then damaged beskar and could be the helmet passed on for generations to the leader of Mandalore, lost by Canderous Ordo. It could be used to claim the throne by Din or Bo Katan
The mandalorian is still the closest to George Lucas's version that I can remember. And so far John and his team have done a really good job. As to who should ultimately be ruler of mandalore, that is hard for me to decide because I love and jarring and bow both. If I were to pick right now I would say probably bo will take over leadership eventually. Possibly with ginger and being her right hand, or possible spouse. Course considering how much Disney has started to dig into Legends and use it for their own version. There's always a possibility that down the road Boa Fett fat made become the new mandylor.
Bo-Katan has had her time as leader of mandalore. it didnt turn out well for her. din djarin doesnt want to lead but i think this is the perfect reason why he should. din has no delusions of grandeur like bo-katan. hes not chasing some shadow of power like boba fett. hes not looking to rebuild like luke skywalker.
but he is a natural leader as we seen in the battle with the krayt dragon and the battle for mos espa. he will lead those who choose to follow. and hes devoted to the creed.
at most Bo-Katan may be an advisor to him. i also think the armorer can be the same kind of role for him as well.

Mando sank because he was an apostate. Only true believers can float in the sacred waters of Mandalore.
that eminent horizontal breeding position collision is required to legitimize anything solid worth respecting. they both need to do their duty. call it broken news if its dead reckoning for the plot direction after finale cliff hanger the time jump in season 4.
My crackpot theory:
Din Djarin can't ever wield the Darksaber because he won't submit to the Dark Side which powers it.(unlike Bo-Katan and Moff Gideon) Therefore, I think that Favreau will recreate the Sword in the Stone/Excalibur legend. The Mythosaur will break the Darksaber when Mando tries to tame it and the Armorer will make him a new blade, one not tainted by the Dark Side.
How big is a mythosaur compared to one of those space squids? Also, do mandalorians…"breed" with their helmets on?

Doesn’t matter, any Star Wars content produced by Disney is blasphemy and any support given to the imprisonment and or perversion of the story or now “legends” galaxy is heresy, one day it will be liberated from their grasp but until then all the true Star Wars enthusiasts will have to either put up with their mess they have created or stand up for what the franchise deserves
I also think there gonna get over there beef and rule together and tame the mythosaur together I think they low key like each other but she’s such thick skinned person and built up with full of depression and just in her head she can’t see they want the same thing and once they both realize that they will be good together even as a couple down line
If they get rid of the new trilogy they could really make some amazing movies/shows in the future

i think it's gonna be a new royal family with grogu being the next tarre vizsla (being the second mandalorian jedi), Din Djarin being the one who rides the mythosaur and Bo Katan wielding the darksaber since she seemed to have no problem wielding it in s3 ep 2
Timeline might be off but we just saw in the Bad Batch the empire was hunting extraordinary creatures for testing, possibilities they go after this one?

Rivals? Or destined to join together and heal at least one of the schisms between Mandalorean factions? You have the continuity of rule in her, but the continuity of tradition in him, and Grogu brings the power of the Force.
I mean, he wasn't really dragged, he found the cliff and fell into deeper water lol.
I do think Bo-Katan and Din will rule together, maybe even as a royal couple of some sort.

Was he dragged under water, or just sunk because he miss-stepped at a steep drop-off and sunk rapidly becuase his heavy armor pulled him down.
So how do an alien species that Tang, evolve into humans?
Din would pass on the leadership. He has no intentions on being tied down. You hear it in every episode. Now a forced fight I'm sure yield will be in play neither character deserves death.. Yet
I would love to see Din and Bo start up a love interest. Than rule Mandalor together. Just a fans wishful thinking.

Another sign I think they could've used as foreshadowing was in the season 2 premiere with the krayt dragon. Only way I can see Mando taking it down is with a similar (or similar enough) plot to that episode mixed with the book of boba fett finale and some sword in the stone logic (one must be worthy blah blah blah) culminating to him eventually riding it into battle line fett with the rancor
Nothing in the episode clearly shows that the mythosaur pulled Din down. That's possible. But based on Chaper 18 no.
I think Bo and Din will end up as the king and queen.

I like the idea that he tripped and his heavy armor dragged him down. You might be right about everything else.
