Why The Main Star Of The Walking Dead Walked Away

The Walking Dead TV Show has been a cultural staple for over a decade now. With the long running series, spin-off shows, and future movies planned, it’s hard to tell why exactly Andrew Lincoln stepped away as Rick Grimes on The Walking Dead. The main show is slowly coming to an end, but will we actually see Rick Grimes appear in any future Walking Dead projects?

Should they pull the plug on The Walking Dead? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VtrzCDRer8w

  1. I'm not happy with where the show headed after Rick left but I love how kind the actors and actresses on the show are to each other and their fans. So for that, I'm rocking with The Walking Dead universe until the very end. Spin offs and all.

  2. They made a major mistake killing off Carl. I would have loved to have seen Rick take on Alpha.
It was such a loss for Andrew to leave the show when he did. I didn't like the finale of the series. It was too rushed and it was too lacking in quality for what we are used to getting fron TWD. The best part was the three Rick/Michonne shots.

  3. Martha Honeycutt I agree, Andrew got no respect and no answers from the producers and therefor he made the cut, to hear on DVD, if i heard his statement i knew, what he had to do. Respect but tragedy for US, i think !!

  4. I disagree totally 💯 so does my wife. After Rick 👎👇⬇️📉. They started to get political correct in ways I don’t want to mention. People in an apocalypse will not be trying to be homosexual they will try to survive. What a joke.

  5. I’ve heard that they killed off Carl because Chandler Riggs’ contract was going to be renegotiated when he turned 18, and AMC cheaped out and chose to kill the character instead. Andrew Lincoln didn’t like that they did that to Chandler, and left as well

    All hearsay though

BUT eve more so the daughter that became what they both were over protective about, So he did in fact had a very good reson to stay ! in show that is, he left cuse real life family ya i can see that. But to say there no real reason his carater shude stay is a lie, His daughter hello ! Daddy little girl DAH !

  7. The two undisputed worst decisions they ever made for this show was 1. Killing off Carl Grimes, and 2. Making Rick hallucinate Sasha instead of Glenn when he was bleeding out. It should have been Glenn and he should have stood up just like Sasha did and said "hey dumbass". That honestly might have gotten me more than when Rick actually "died".

  8. Can someone tell me if this man has any kind of reward for his portrayal of Rick grimes. His entire journey from beginning to end was absolutely enthralling and become the icon of the walking dead for 10 years straight!
Incredible acting and watching his transformation season to season is something actually special, should be recognized of how impactful he had on the success of this show. Became the most ruthless/cunning/determined/unbelievably driven by his love to protect his family/group. Truly needs an Oscar if he didn’t get one already
