  1. If god didn’t know that slavery would be banned in the future, he is not omniscient. If he is omniscient but feared banning slavery among the Israelites, then he is not omnipotent. If he is both omniscient and omnipotent, then he is not benevolent. You can’t have all three.

  2. God does not specifically say slavery is bad. But he does condemn all the things that makes slavery bad. You cannot extort people, hurt them, manipulate, let them starve and much more. God doesn’t specifically say slavery is bad, but how can you enslave someone if you love them, if you give them you shirt off your back and the food off your table?

  3. Shapiro was all over the place, at the end I gather that, even in his opinion: religion in general is not good for society, but he seems to make an exception for what he calls the "Judeo-Christian" flavour. I wonder why? 🤔
