I just bought a Ford Maverick, and when that dies (because I love it and plan on keeping it for many years) I am so excited to get a Tesla next. I'd love to get a gen2 Cybertruck, or maybe a gen3 Model S.
I know there are some EV trucks in Germany and there is a person "electric trucker" who puts out a weekly on what is being one on a Iveco or a Scania electric truck. It shows it can be done with the current EV charging network in Germany. I know you are Tesla focused but it might give you all some proof that EV trucking is possible even if they don't have the range of the tesla semi> I am sure there are many more out there that are on the road now with less than 300 miles even of range that can work with local regulations
Just so you know the tesla semi doesnt have 3 motors making it all wheel drive only 2 being rear wheel drive. Thats what i remember when jay leno was doing a review of the semi truck.
Idiot
What a disappointing video.
Another flaw in my plot, I was designing human pollution gills. Jeannine.
My two faves together again. Great to see!
⚰️R. I. P. (scam compagny) Nuk Motor! 😂
⚰️R. I. P. (scam compagny) Nikola Motor
Great video guys! Do you suppose that Tesla could require their hub and spoke customers to make their MegaChargers available to other users as part of their contract? That would be a good way to build out a broader charging network for long haul customers
"Can't wait to see the semis popping out…". Me too! 😁
my least favorite video of your otherwise great channel yet due to your guest being unwatchable for so many reasons….
Will be great in Port and Metro areas where diesel pollution is really bad / affects large populations not to mention their slow acceleration clogs up roads and leads to accidents from people trying to pass. Long range not needed for these jobs.
When people with no experience, talk about trucking, this is what you get!
Experts telling about stuff they have no clue about.
Still have to meet one who drives a electric truck that are happy with it. Talk to the drivers of camera, and you get another tale entirely!
Excellent video with accurate information, big oil companies will hate on Tesla as they know they are going down.
Platooning has to be the future on efficiency grounds alone for all types of FSD road traffic. Road capacity would also be boosted; necessary if the cost of transport trends to zero with unsupervised FSD. If these road trains could be separated from the meat driven vehicles, speed would defined by the environment at the time rather than relatively arbitrary human imposed numbers. And where could that be best done? Replacing actual trains – that stupidly expensive, union strangled, tired 200 year old technology, that's so ripe for disruption. Something that Tesla does so well.
Excited until you introduced that guy. Adds nothing. Desperate for mic time.
Wonder what the load capacity is on a Tesla Semi? How long is an average charge time?
No real mention of lower cargo weight capacity due too battery capacity not great for medium to long range
Suggestions of changing road rules were weight and width etc are there for good reasons such as road conditions wear or safety like with gates bridges etc is idiotic
there are 13 million transport trucks in the united states currently. tesla has delivered around 100-200 semi's. this is a joke plain and simple. there arent enough batteries in the world to come even close to replacing this amount, not to mention the power production to charge them.
🤗 THANKS WILL,BRIAN FOR SHARING THE FACTS ⚡️⚡️⚡️
Congratulations. I see more trolls in the comments. You must be doing something right. Cheers from Roatan!
What happens in -20 degrees? grounded. The long range Model S has barely any range and I have been driving one for a few weeks in extreme cold. It is a crap car in winter,
These podcast style videos are causing me to fast forward through your videos. Please go back to your original format. I watch your videos for you, not to watch the people that you get your information from.
I love the chats you both have as Brian seems to have a reasoned and calm approach to his answers, basing them on known information.
Nuclear Nuclear nuclear
Getting rid of the driver completely won’t happen for at least 20 years. Even with giant leaps in driving safety from advanced AI. This is the golden age of long distance trucking. There will be a period where drivers can sit, then a time when they can sit and watch tv and very soon after that they will be able to sleep in the cab while it’s driving. But they will have drivers present for at least a couple of decades. We may even end up in a situation where long distance trucking is used to transport people. You could hop cab to cab cross country like taking buses.
Bill Gates ist dumm
All our European Manufacturers are producing their own Semis now! Ramp up is going fast! The Tesla Semi is too long for the European market to be kompetitive, as Regulations over here are different. The most interesting fact is, that charging can be done with CCS completely during the legaly required breaks.
Trump cancelled electric vehicles. Drill baby drill because diesel is BACK IN THE HOOD!
