I'm sure thorax armors like slicks and hgrids are fine in more medium range maps. I've been shredded in the stomach before while wearing a tv-110, but it's always be a close engagement. Something to bring up though is when the armor hitboxes match what armor you're wearing, I might be overestimating how this change would affect how viable some of these plate carriers are, but I'm willing to bet quite a few people will die from shots that hit the sides or the neck and upper thorax.
the lack of people using stomach armour is why the shotgun meta is so big right now. If you protect your stomach these shotgun nabs wont reck you
I still think slick/hex is worth it all day. I’ve been saved by them more than not. Smart peeks should only expose your upper body which maximizes the slicks usability

The only Slick I ever found was the Weapon Crate on the left side of the RUAF Extract on Woods, sold it to Ragman cause' I knew it wasn't worth taking 232k armor lol

Solid video dude, I had no idea about the damage multiplier on your stomach.
I personally experienced this flesh damage problem myself. I was running an ALTYN AND SLICK, and got three or four shot to the stomach and/or legs with quakemaker from a level 15 timmy.
