Why Sail Greece….Five Good Reasons..and ONE more ….Ep 12
Coming to Greece from Sicily across the Ionian and entering through the Gulf of Corinth and the Corinth Canal was culturaly and historically enlightening. The old city of Corinth was in fact one of the great hubs of Ancient Greece.
In this episode we leave the Corinth Canal and decide how to explore the over 1,000 Islands spread before us in the Aegean Sea. As there 5 of Greece’s 6 Island groups in the Aegean, we decide to take one group at a time beginning with the Saronic Islands which is the first goup we find upon exiting the Canal.
We sail down the Eastern Coast of the Pennepolese bouncing between the Islands of the Saronic and the mainland discovering during this first taste of the Greek Islands of the Agean why this is such a great place to visit and especially sail.
